Cross Road Lodge Solwezi

I was pleasantly surprised with Crossroads Solwezi. With a delux room costing about $50 (November, 2018), it is great value for money! Situated in a nice spot with impala and zebra, the environment is peaceful and as some other reviewers have said, feels more like a hotel than a lodge. The rooms were quite nice, well kept and maintained (it is fairly new so the true test will be after a few years) and the staff were pleasant. The food is good, with large portions but be prepared to wait! Had to wait close to an hour on average, even breakfast sometimes so don't ever try to get food when you are starving! Also the dining room is a bit of a let down - really no effort there with the decor at all. Despite the less than appealing dining room, and the long food wait, I will certainly stay at Crossroads next time I'm in Solwezi. The value for money is way too good!
