Comfy spacious bed with high privacy. I felt like I had my own room with everything I needed. 
The receptionist was very helpful and gave me lots of tips and recommendations. 
They also offer free bike rental. 
We did the one day Tam Coc tour and our guide’s English was sublime. We then cycled after our boat trip with Soni taking us to the most picturesque places before travelling home.

Spot on is a good option to explore Ninh binh and its attractions.
It's only 7 km from Tam coc, Hang mua caves etc but you can enjoy the place because is far from the touristy hotels and very close to Ninh binh bus station! 
They have free massage chair, free billiard...staff is very kind....why not?

Room, beds and bathroom were very clean (that is not so common in hostel, especially about the bathroom).  We recommend it and for sure we would stay again in the future! Thanks a lot and see y'all next time in Ninh Binh.	

The room was spacious and comfortable. The nice rooms for 2 or 3 people were just perfect. Very large with own bathroom. Highly recommend for environment and hosts ! The staff it's very polite and the hostel it's really good for backpackers as me.

This is superb, I was so impressed, that I don't know how to describe all advantages of this hostel. We booked via email. It is cheap, but good quality. It is worth to go there although you have to take a almost 20 mins ride to Tam Coc and Trang An.

Everything was great, comfy bad, very nice and helpful staff, in the core of the town but far from the mess. Excellent booking service! 15 minutes riding to Tam Coc and Trang An, 5 minutes walk to train station. 

It has a very nice location in town center. Just a minute to the main center of bars and restaurants, Our room was very charming and wide. Breakfast is delicious.. We stayed a week, and we felt like home.  Everything was top notch.

My 3rd time here, everything just nice. The reception was well prepared and very helpful. I was able to book tours here. The room was clean, the check in easy. Breakfast is good and one more thing staff here is so friendly!!!

we booked here after get some tips from friends. This hostel is beautiful inside and very modern. Loved the decor, the atmosphere, staff were very friendly. Bed and rooms quite comfortable.  The breakfast was good in the mornings. Overall had an excellent stay here and would recommend to veryone.

Can’t recommend this place enough.

Good accomodation

The staff are very welcoming and helpful. The receptionist was able to recommend a good restaurant that catered to vegans and even gave us very good directions so we couldn't miss it. The room was at a very high standard for the price, and we were able to park our motorbikes inside. For a place that has free secure parking it was very good value for money and it was very reassuring to feel that everything was secure. They offer a good breakfast. It was relatively easy to find once Google maps was working and, although it is off a main road, it was surprisingly very quiet. The only negative was that the wifi wasn't often very slow in the room and so we had to sit downstairs to get a better signal.

Free parking, welcoming staff, great value for money!

Hotel owner was wonderful and friendly. Provided us with a free breakfast even though it wasn't advertised. Owner knew the local are and gave great directions. Hotel was perfect for the price, we just wanted a cheap one nighter so we could get up early for the boat ride. Be aware there are train tracks nearby bUT the trains did not blow their horns after 11 and the trains are only 5-6 cars long so they go past quickly. Good location.

Perfect for a one night stay

This is a nice, family run hotel with friendly and straight-forwards staff. Breakfast is nice.We rented a scooter from the hotel, and they were very helpful with ideas for what to do.The advert is misleading - the mattress is far from memory foam, there was no mini-bar, the tv was not HD, etc.The hotel was still worth the money, but I think the listing should be changed to make it accurate.

Good, but inaccurate listing

The hotel is family run but all staff is very friendly and professional. They speak good English and have good advice on local sights and tours. They also offer cooking classes in the breakfast area for $5. The free breakfast is very yummy, make sure you try one of their noodle soups for breakfast. You can rent motorbikes for $6 a day, which is the best way to see all sights Ninh Binh has to offer.Our room was spacious and as shown on the picture. Unfortunetely it smelled a bit humid, but there was a big window. The room was towards the railway station and there is quite a few trains comming through and they always sound their horn twice when they leave which is quite loud and can wake you up in the night. Even with closed windows.We enjoyed our stay in the Canh Dieu Hotel and recommend it.

Great hotel

Located right across the tracks from the railway station. We stayed for one night - the room was clean, the water was hot(!!!), and the staff spoke amazing English. The food was a little more pricey than you might expect to pay elsewhere, but it was delicious - there's even bacon on the breakfast menu. Canh Dieu is very popular with tourists - there were many staying here. I'd happily stay again!

Hot water, good food, friendly staff

The brother and sister who run reception will bend over backwards to help you. Ninh Binh isn't the greatest spot in the world, but as a base to explore the surrounding countryside this hotel will suit your needs. Really close to the train station too. Try out their food as well, good eats for a low price.

Great staff

Very nice hotel, room space is ok, service ist more than perfect. Stayed until late evening because we had a train at 9pm. We could keep the room until that time and had a shower right before the train. The motorbike we got was also in a very good condition. If you choose this hotel you do nothing wrong!

perfect value for that money

Family run hotel. Beds are slightly hard and yes there is some noise from the railway station. However, perfect as a base for discovering the sites around Ninh Binh. Hotels arranges also tours with privat car or motorbike. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly and will make sure you have a pleasant stay.
