My Dream Villa Hotel

Feel like staying at home when I lived in My Dream Villa Hotel. It's actually a local house but reformed into a hostel. That's why it makes us feel like coming home. The room is very big with sufficient hot water for shower. The balcony is sooooo lovely that I enjoyed the breeze every moment at the balcony. 

It is located in the local residential area with many local restaurants nearby. It is very nice to walk around in the neighborhood and observe people's live. For the main sightseeing points, it's better to take taxi.

Run by the same gracious family who run the My Dreams Hotel, this small inn on a side street offers a lot of touches of luxury without the luxury price tag.  Slate patio and entranceway, beautifully carved wooden staircases with marble steps, etc.  The rooms are spacious, and there is a shared kitchen on the ground floor.  We are here for a few weeks until our house is ready for occupancy, and we stayed at the My Dreams Hotel previously.  I can highly recommend either place.

Enjoy the Stay

Beautiful place, great for long-term stays

We first stayed at My dream hotel and then moved to this location for less noise. While this location was better, both in proximity to the lake and touristy areas, and less noisy it still wasn't a great stay. 

Pros:
-Nice rooms, though request and pay extra for a balcony to get more airflow and light. 
-The house is large and looks new
-The lake is a nice 10 min walk down a pretty empty road next to the river. Then up the hill from the lake to the main touristy areas. 
-When at the property Ha is really helpful. She arranged for the airport shuttle to pick us up and tried to help us with train tickets. 
-Ha was very professional when we moved properties. She paid for a can to take us down to the villa which I thought was classy since we were the ones requesting to move. 

Cons:
-Hands down the most uncomfortable bed we have had in 5 months in Asia. The bed was so firm it was like sleeping on the floor. Personal preference. 
-Breakfast was a fried eggs, bread and margarine bread with a little bit of coffee. No variations and the woman serving breakfast does not speak a word of English. It was hilarious trying to get scrambled eggs or a full cup of coffee. 
-The people who were in the house when we were chain smoked cigarettes. This made the whole house smell. We opened our door to the balcony, window, and pushed a towel under the door since I'm really sensitive to smoke. Just an FYI and probably depends on the guests in the house and if you care. 
-The woman who is here most of the time does not speak a word of English. I understand I am in Vietnam and I try to know a few words of Vietnamese but even just a few words of English would be really helpful. I'd suggest getting Ha's number so you can call if you need anything. 
-If you are thinking of renting a scooter through Ha, just know thy charge by day not 24 hour period. We also had to try 3 different scooters before getting one that was actually functioning and then we had to pay more than we were quoted.
