Lila Homestay Hoi An

Went to Lila Coffee this afternoon with my mom on accident. We were walking to another cafe, but it was closed, and we saw this one next door and stopped by. We’re so lucky we did! When you enter, you’re greeted by their beautiful yard full of healthy and plentiful greenery, and there’s something that feels so welcoming about it! There wasn’t anybody outside, so we called into the house and a woman came running out to serve us. It was only about 11AM and there weren’t any other customers yet, so we sat in a corner and they kindly turned on 2 fans (which they moved around such that it would blow at us perfectly) to help us cool down. They have a good selection of drinks with many tea options. I hadn’t tried the famous Viet egg coffee yet, so I ordered it here while my mom ordered the peach orange lemongrass tea. My drink was so, so delicious! It tasted a bit like tiramisu and I really enjoyed it. I hardly ever drink coffee, but this made me rethink that habit. My mom’s tea was too sweet, so maybe the fruit teas are not their specialty, but they additionally gave us 2 warm cups of jasmine tea, and it may very well be the best jasmine tea I’ve ever tasted! Both my mom and I were shocked at how profusely jasmine-y it tasted, and we drained our cups happily. Both the middle aged woman and the older woman who served us were super sweet, though I can’t speak on their english as my mom ordered for us in Viet. What a quaint little cafe with a lush garden! It felt a bit like visiting a relative. The ladies who helped us were all smiles and warmth. If I lived in Hội An, I would frequent this cafe regularly!
