If you want to see the city through the eyes of a local family, experiencing the way they live, interact, shop, play, then Linh's house is the place for you! I can't say enough good things about them as a family: they are warm, kind and very hospitable. The house is located on an alley, near a local market that is fun and crazy to explore. The most convenient part about the location is that you can take a bus (#152) at the airport that will drop you off literally a block from the house for all of 20 US cents (5,000 dong per person). If you are doing that I suggest printing out the address and showing it to the security guard on the bus so he can press the button for you at the right time. That same bus will get you to District 1 (where the main tourist attractions are) in a jiffy. Also, Linh is a trustworthy person to ask to help you book tours or experiences around town: doing it through her will guarantee that you won't have any unexpected hassles or surprises.
