Khan Quang Do Hotel

This 3 star hotel offers rooms as low as USD$35 and you get a real bargain. Room is largely spaced, two beds, fully air-conditioned even with a ceiling fan if you prefer, bar fridge, TV with 67 channels, table with desk lamp, phone for reception and international calls, 4 powerpoints for your electrical items, large lockable closet, hot and cold shower and toilet facilities. You get a complimentary breakfast buffet with pho soup( it is Vietnamese soup that is usually chicken but sometimes they do serve beef or duck) and every morning they clean your room and leave bottled water and a basket of fresh fruits. Laundry is usually left in the laundry marked basket and picked at 5pm and usually is very cheap because it is dry-cleaned. They have a swimming pool and a tennis court for sport lovers. Wifi internet in the rooms is free if you have a laptop and quite fast I must say! Room service is available when the restaurant is open but if you would like to adventure and try foods from other places right across from the hotel is the Dai Hop restaurant which has great meals and I have eaten dinner almost every night there for 3 weeks and they have never disappointed! I recommend you stay here for the peace and tranquility and venture into town on Saturdays. Bus fare on routes 14 and 9 costs 3000 VND which equates to USD$0.14 into Hanoi centre for shopping and other stuff.
