Number One Hotel

We moved here to get rooms with windows, and weren't disappointed . Only 2 rooms on each floor (all have windows), the front has a balcony so we could look at the busy street vendors below selling fruit . Everything worked in the room and the staff where friendly. Great value

Great location, walking distance to everything. Rooms are lovely, clean and for $10 per night you get everything including a kettle, hot water and a fridge and excellent wifi. 
The only slight problem was that the staff including the nice old man whom owns the place speak very little English, but google translate to the rescue. I'd certainly recommend this Hotel to all. 

The location of this hotel is great with just a short walk to the restaurants along the river front. The room was clean and the air con was great. The staff were pleasant, one lady speaks English very well but she isn't always there. We booked a 7 hour boat trip through the hotel, which was fantastic. It was such a great experience that I would highly recommend! 
The only downside to this place is that the staff were occasionally quite inconsiderate in the mornings; one morning we were woken up at 5am to very loud shouting and laughing etc. 
Overall I'd recommend it for a comfortable and reasonably priced stay for a couple of nights.

Great Value For Money 

Great location and a decent stay.

Good budget hotel

Basic hotel stayed for two nights,room at back one window looking onto building nextdoor,bathroom poor but passable,didnt get clean towels as we did in other hotels of this type,no lift,we had heavy bags so a bit of a chore although staff did help.
No breakfast option with this one,okay place for doing Mekong river trip,very pretty when we were there as coming up to Chinese new year.

Okay for short stay

The hotel itself is in a great location for both the centre and the river. The room we had was clean and comfortable, good air con, hot water and tv. It was a nice place to stop for a few days and we arranged a tour and onwards travel through the reception. (The staff here speak very little, to no English but just enough to get by and were not exactly forthcoming with smiles). The tour guide we had for the floating market however spoke excellent English and was very friendly and informative. I think his name was Hua.

Unfortunately the other services were below standard. The room was not cleaned during our stay despite leaving the 'please make up the room' tag on the door. We also had problems with our laundry that was overpriced and returned to us still dirty and un-ironed. We had to complain twice and in the end ask for our money back which left resentment about what could have been a very nice stay.

Good location, needs to improve service

A basic hotel in an ok location. The hotel is fine for a day two at the most. Rooms were clean enough but not the most helpful staff who mainly seemed concerned to sell trips. The location is central for the market and river trips but is opposite a market which starts early in the morning.
