Sunset Suites

I had a wonderful and relaxing stay here in a one bed flat. The flat is super cute and just right (things are a little frayed here and there but on the whole absolutely fine), there is a nice side view of the water from the balcony and it's pretty close to the beach (like 1-2 min walk). The flats are in a different building from the hotel, just around the corner but the hotel still provides the service you need if required. They only provide parasols etc in the summer, you can rent them from the beach but it's a bit pricey! It's a bit removed from the main strip, like a 15 min walk but that's not a bad thing. PDE has two distinct sides to the coast, the river side and the ocean side, this hotel is on the river side and about a 10/15 walk from the ocean side. Both sides seemed about the same to me except the ocean side had rougher waves and the sun shines at alternative times depending on where you are (facing the ocean in the morning and facing the river in the afternoon!). The service here was excellent, Sebastian at the front desk is really lovely, super helpful and friendly whilst being totally professional. This type of hospitality makes a hotel stand out.
