Can definitely recommend this property! Great location, 25 minute walk to York town centre, but can also get a bus from outside the Barracks for a few pounds & takes 5 minutes. There is an Aldi & Iceland 2 minutes the road & a Pharmacy & Sainsbury’s 5 minutes further. Free parking which is an added bonus! I liked that they had a seating lounge area if you wanted to have a quiet sit down, outside of your room. It was beautifully decorated for Christmas also which made it lovely. Rooms were very clean! Comfy beds & pillows! We came during the freezing weather & rooms were lovely and warm! Tea & coffee making facilities also in the room & fresh drinking water also. Breakfast was good with lots of choice. Fruit, pastries, cereal. Selection of juice & tea & coffee. You could also get a fried breakfast, scrambled eggs on toast etc. I asked for a bacon sandwich which wasn’t on the menu & they were more than happy to oblige. Staff were lovely & friendly also & good value for money! £114 for 2 nights, including breakfast & during December when the Christmas markets were on!
