Beautiful place to stay, lovely rooms and comfy beds.
Breakfast is included and is served in the conservatory by mine hosts.

An excellent welcome with tea and cake provided. The hosts are so very, very welcoming and accommodating. The breakfast options were wonderful and enjoyable. Of the 8 different accommodations we stayed in along St Cuthbert's Way, this was "top of the list" - huge thank you to you both.

Another fine stop on our St. Cuthbert's Walk.  A warm welcome and possibly the best room over the whole week - greeted by a Song Thrush singing in the garden.  A fabulous breakfast set us up for the day.  A very comfortable bed and plenty of space to chill out.

Lovely place to stay in Wooler. Friendly mine hosts Patrick & Paulette make for an enjoyable stay in comfy rooms and a wide range of choices for breakfast. Handy for the centre of Wooler with several pubs and restaurants. This is our third stay so I think that says it all.

We were greeted at the door and brought up to our room where our bags awaited.  Hosts keep a small fridge outside the rooms with cold water and milk for tea.  They were happy to have us store things there as well, for the walking day to follow.  Breakfast was well-organized and delicious - with the most amazing gluten free bread option - and the breakfast room was cozy and inviting.

We had a lovely warm welcome from Paulette. With great efficiency we were introduced to our room and its facilities, such as a small fridge outside the door with milk and chilled water. We ordered breakfast, what a great choice there was! The conservatory breakfast was no disappointment. Great people, great location. And oh yes....only had to mention I'd like a cup of tea and lo and behold up came a tray of tea and cup cakes :-)

Just the most perfect BnB..... beautiful accommodation, wonderful location, Paulette and Patrick were so welcoming and kind.... they seemed to have thought of everything we might possibly need. Breakfast lovely..... can't recommend them highly enough.
.we were on a walking holiday and they obviously really understand walkers needs although am sure anyone would find the BnB excellent whatever the reason for staying ... hope to come back for a longer stay!

Perfect stay - every detail so thoughtfully put together, really appreciated sustainable touches like refillable containers rather than plastic sachets. Fantastic breakfast too. Hosts very welcoming and helpful too. Great nights sleep in comfy bed.

We stayed for two nights while walking St Cuthbert’s Way. Great welcome (we had walked from Kirk Yetholm in appalling weather so were a little soggy). We really appreciated the tea and muffins. 
Rooms are very spacious and comfortable,  and there is a good choice on the breakfast menu. Breakfast was the best we had on the whole walk, lovely fruit compots and homemade jams and lovely freshly cooked food. 
Patrick and Paulette were great hosts.

5 stars all round - excellent hosts, accommodation and breakfast, we had a great stay.
We stayed one night to visit the prehistoric rock art sites nearby, unfortunately snow on the Monday scuppered our plans, Bamburgh Castle and Seahouses instead!

What a super place to stop over on St Cuthbert's Way

Lovely place to stay in a good location

I travelled with my adult daughter and stayed here while walking St Cuthbert's Way. This old stone property is set in the most beautiful garden meticulously maintained by the owner. It was quiet yet close to amenities. On our arrival we were treated to a  welcome hot drink and a piece of freshly baked apple cake. Our hosts were wonderful, despite our muddy hiking boots, which we left in the hall! Breakfast was served in the conservatory adjoining a spacious country kitchen. This was a really great stay, I would highly recommend this B&B.

This felt just like home. The hosts got everything just right.

Our 1st visit to The Old Mill certainly won't be our last. Patrick & Paulette are perfect hosts and make you very welcome. The rooms are all ensuite and very nicely furnished with comfortable beds. A good selection for breakfast which is served in the conservatory .we look forward to more visits in the future

Excellent

We arrived cold and wet after a hard day's walk (doing St Cuthbert's Way). We were given a very warm welcome and Paulette and Patrick were was so kind and helpful throughout our short one night stay, partularly with helping us to dry our very wet boots and coats. The room was clean and spacious and included fresh milk for teas and coffees. The breakfast was delicious. This is a very special bed and breakfast.

A perfect bed and breakfast experience

We had one overnight at the Old Mill which was excellent.  It was super clean, comfortable and we had a lovely welcome from Richard, including delicious cake and tea!  The room was spacious and so comfortable.  We had a great night's sleep and an excellent freshly cooked breakfast.
Highly recommended.

St Cuthbert's Way

Loved this beautifully appointed old mill, quietly situated down a small track. The owners, Patrick and his wife, are charming, welcoming, and really helpful. The room we had was spotless, spacious, with a generous en-suite and huge bed. Fresh milk for your tea and coffee, an excellent choice of breakfast with fresh fruit and yoghurt, and full selection of cooked, plus really good coffee. Parking immediately outside the property. Highly recommended

Charming renovated old mill

If you are planning on staying in Wooler, look no further than this amazing bed and breakfast! The hosts Patrick and Paulette are lovely people who have been nothing but helpful and accommodating. They welcomed us earlier than the normal check-in time to allow one of us plenty of time to rest before running the St Cuthbert’s Way Ultra Marathon. And what a wonderful place to relax! Both the bedroom and bathroom are spacious, beautifully decorated and very clean. The bed was huge and the most comfortable we have ever slept in! There was a fridge in the corridor which contained chilled bottles of water for each room and fresh milk for tea and coffee. We had the cooked breakfast which was absolutely delicious and served in a conservatory with a view of their beautiful garden. We were able to enjoy some birdwatching while we ate. Fruit which was grown in their own garden was also available at breakfast. The Old Mill is an excellent location for exploring the Cheviot hills and surrounding villages. The Northumberland coast and Lindisfarne are also within easy reach. I won’t hesitate to book The Old Mill for any future trips to Wooler. In fact, I may actually cry if it isn’t available!
