Cheviot View

I spent a night at the Cheviot View B&B while walking through Northumberland. Wooler is an excellent base for exploring the Cheviot Hills to the west and the lower, but still exciting countryside to the east, and the B&B is on the main street so restaurants, pubs and shops are all very handy. My room was spacious, the bed comfortable, and the bathroom clean and very well equipped - just what was needed after a long walk. It's walker-friendly - there's a place to put muddy boots - but it's also not far from the A697 so a good place to stop off if you're travelling to Scotland or exploring Northumberland by car. I was given a friendly welcome and an excellent breakfast, and would certainly visit again.
