Bridgend Farm Wooler

Just returned from a week a Bridgend Farm Cottage. A well equipped house for a family get together, beautiful garden. However, nestled between a very busy noisy road, a holiday club bar/restaurant an ice-cream bar and building construction site. So noise well into the small hours and very early next morning. All out of owners hands. 
We did have some access issues as milk bar customers at times stood around the gate to the property.
However an excellent location to explore Northumberland, lots to see and do, more than you can fit into a week.

Lovely hosts. Lovely decor and place to stay. The breakfast was amazing. We stayed 2 nights for a mini break whilst our son was away on a flying scholarship. The weather was mixed ( not their fault ) for August, but so long as you have a car this is a great place to stay and easily drive to coast to visit Lindisfarne, Farne Islands, castles etc.
Also lovely restaurant in the village within walking distance, although I have bad back so i drove us there, called Milan ( need to book in advance).
We were more than happy with our stay. We plan to return in 2020 and book a room on a lower floor and go in Puffin breeding season as we just missed the puffins this time by a couple of weeks ( hubby is a teacher )
We booked only a few days before so got the last room which was in the attic....cosy, but whilst adequate sized not the best for me as I have very bad back....but we were a late booking !! ( would have been fine for any able bodied person.)

Stopped here for three nights while working locally and cannot compliment it enough
Geoff and  Helen are so friendly and helpful they make you feel at home straight away
The breakfast was superb each day and the house was always clean and inviting
I just hope that with the standard this high that I can get in again next year!!

We stayed with Helen and Geoff for two nights on 7th-9th September.  What an amazing place to stay. The whole house was absolutely spotlessly clean. Our rooms were so comfortable and tastefully decorated. Breakfast was beautiful with plenty of choice.  We cannot fault a single thing!! Helen and Geoff were the perfect hosts and couldn't do enough for us. We will definitely book again.  Thank you Helen and Geoff for  a perfect weekend.

We stayed with Helen & Geoff for two nights. It was a very good experience, the room was comfortable, the breakfasts imaginative with lots of healthy options and the general ambience warm and friendly.  And Helen & Geoff made us very welcome, recommended.

Had a two night break away in Northumberland with my husband and Dad and couldn’t have wished for more from Bridgend Farm. Helen & Geoff were absolutely wonderful and personable hosts; nothing was too much trouble; the breakfasts were second to none and the recommendations of where to eat were spot on. The accommodation itself was first class and absolutely spotlessly clean wherever you looked. The layout was well thought out; a communal lounge and dining area available to all guests and a beautiful garden to enjoy. The decoration was extremely tasteful and equally well-considered throughout the property. Our room was stunning with dual aspect windows, a beautiful en-suite bathroom which coordinated with the decor in the main bedroom. The rooms were all well equipped with really nice touches; drink facilities which can be replenished throughout your stay; fresh milk and chilled water; the softest bath towels we have ever had; and high quality bed linen on the most comfortable bed. The breakfasts matched the high standards set by the accommodation and its hosts; you are asked to request your breakfast the night before to ensure that your choices can be catered for. Alongside the usual options, guests are offered specials and we have no doubt that any request would be honoured wherever possible by the obliging owners. The hot breakfasts were superb we had Full English, scrambled egg and salmon and eggs Benedict which were faultless and set us up for the day. The warm options followed a self service of fresh fruit juice, cereals, a wonderful selection of fruit and natural Greek yoghurt all of which were delicious. We are so pleased we stumbled across this gem; when we return we shall have no hesitation to stay here again. We look forward to seeing Helen & Geoff in the future and wish this hard-working couple all the success they deserve in the meantime. 

This was a much needed wonderful break that could not have been bettered. The location of Bridgend is superb and everything about the house is fantastic. So elegant, so stylish and so beautiful. Our room was gorgeous and so comfortable and we loved being in it and spending time there. The residents lounge was wonderful and a real tranquil place. Such a superb garden too, very well kept and inviting. Parking was plentiful and spacious. We slept so well in the big comfortable bed and the shower/bathroom/toilet was spotless and more than adequate. Breakfast was out of this world. So plentiful and tasty and with some unique and exciting specials too there would be something for everyone. Wooler is a beautiful little town/village and a great starting point for so many local attractions/scenery and freedom. Our hosts? Helen and Geoff are a wonderful down to earth couple who made us feel like we were visiting friends rather than a B & B and are so helpful, warm and welcoming. We'll definitely be back and not just once more!

This was our third time stay at Bridgend Farm and it is now even better than ever. We wouldn't even consider staying anywhere else. Geoff and Helen are the perfect hosts  and the breakfast is absolutely first class. The whole property is immaculately kept and has just had a wonderful refurb. Make this your first choice when staying in the Wooler area or for visiting greater Northumberland.

A stunning farmhouse brought up to date for travellers today! A really lovely place, room comfortable and breakfast choice very good and generous (needed a sit down before heading off for the hills).  Tea, coffee and milk supplies always available for those rainy moments.....
 Helen and Geoff are great hosts. They are relaxed and welcoming with ideas of things to do. We enjoyed a 5 mile circular walk from the house and also headed up to Kelso to visit Floors Castle. there are so many options of things to do from this base. 
We wanted to find ancient cup and rings stone art from the Late Stone Age and the Tourist Information staff provided a hand sketched map which helped us enormously. 
We would certainly recommend Bridgend Farm as a great place to stay.
