We stayed here during our recent visit to Ambleside. The rooms were clean and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was truly excellent on all four days and we tried a variety of the options available. Our hosts were friendly and welcoming.  The free parking about 100 yards away was a nice bonus and we were able to unload and load our bags right outside the B&B. 

Park House guest house in Ambleside is a great place to stay . It is situated right in the middle of Ambleside.
It is a very friendly place run with impeccable standards by Paul and his wife.
The whole guesthouse is spotless and the bedroom was very comfortable.
A fantastic cooked breakfast sets you up each morning for what ever activities you have planned for the day .

The room, the bed, the decor, the food, the cleanliness of this place were all lovely, 5 star. I haven’t got a bad thing to say about this place. Which may be the same that can be said for most BnB’s in Ambleside/the Lakes.

But what I enjoyed most about our stay at Park House were how lovely Paul and Diane were, they truly are some of the nicest people I’ve ever met, they were extremely friendly, accommodating and helpful. Thanks so much Paul and Diane, we will definitely be back!

I stayed here for two nights in room 3 whilst settling our son into his second year at University. The accommodation was very clean, the room was nicely decorated and the room had lovely views across the park opposite. The service was excellent and the host could not do enough for you. The breakfast was very good and having a car space was most helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. In my formal employment role I have visited many hotels this one was amongst those I would definitely visit again. Thank you.

Stayed for two nights and wished we could have had more. Lovely welcome, spotless accommodation and a very hearty and tasty breakfast.  Parking in a private spot just a short walk across the road, and ideally located to stroll the few yards up to town, or head out on to the fells. Hope we can return soon.

I never ever write reviews! But I felt this place deserved recognition.. we had such a lovely time at this b&b, it’s well worth the money!!  it’s immaculate and a lot better in person. Breakfast was lovely. The owners couldn’t do enough for you, really friendly and take their time to actually have a conversation with you, my experiences in other b&bs are that you just feel like a body in the b&b filling the room here you feel looked after. They take pride in what they do and that shines.. It felt like we was staying at a grandparents house, very warm and friendly. Thank you for making our stay relaxing.

Highly recommend! looks are deceiving. Fabulous stay, 'boutique' friendly vibe. Great location. Service was exceptional - breakfast and bar. Also one of the cleanest hotels ive stayed in, and I'm fussy! Will be staying again next summer for sure.

Stayed here for 3 nights at New Year. We’ve stayed in many different guest houses in Ambleside over the years but this one was definitely our favourite. It was spotlessly clean with a lovely bright decor. Our room was small but we had lots of storage so we were able to put all our stuff away without having to leave it on the floor. Breakfast was by far one of the best we’ve ever had, plentiful and hot. We had our own parking space about a minute’s walk from the guest house. The hosts were really nice and we will definitely stay here again. 

Booked one night in a single room. Room was clean and comfy bed. Good views of the park and hilltops, shared bathroom as expected, and luxury of a bath, just what is needed after a long walk. Good breakfast and great hosts. Would stay here again!!

We stayed for a couple of nights, very clean and comfortable.  We managed to get a free parking space. There was lots of choice at breakfast but we stuck to the traditional english breakfast and got.lots of toast. The guest house was ideally situated in Amblesode lots of walks and restaurants close by and a short walk to the edge of lake windermere. 
The only criticism was that it was raining during our stay and would have been great if there was somewhere to dry our coats.

Fabulous 3 day break

I've just spent 2 nights here...everything in place for Covid....nice welcome.  Breakfast choices were excellent....they are now running 2 shifts....only 3 tables at each...worked very well.
     Free parking 2 mns down the road...superb position in centre of town.
    Would definately recommend.
