We have just returned from a 4 night break at this wonderful B&B. Christine & Peter are wonderful hosts and looked after my husband incredibly well who is a coeliac and requires a gluten free diet. Breakfasts are amazing, very tasty and huge! We stayed in room 1 which is just like the photos, very spacious, comfortable and very clean. The B&B is really close to all restaurants. We suggest booking your restaurants as it was very busy during our stay. Thank you Christine & Peter hope to see you again.

This bed and breakfast is run by such a lovely couple, staying at their bed and breakfast provided us with a lovely break. The guest house is located a few minutes away from the shops and restaurants in Windermere, equally there is also Bonas where you will find the lake and also many more restaurants, coffee shops and small shops. There are many attractions nearby and I thoroughlt recommend trying out the local buses, we caught the bus right into the mountains and was able to take in the breathtaking scenery as well as visit more tourist attractions.
Christine is an excellent cook and breakfast is delicious and plentiful, full English was very popular but there were also many lighter options available. They have a 5* food hygiene rating and the place is spotless but not clinical, they genuinely welcome all their visitors into their home.
I would definately recommend, we had a double room which was a little on small side but was perfectly adequate. There is provate parking and also free parking in their road. It is positioned in a quiet area.

We stayed for 3 nights had a lovely room and bathroom. It was a superb breakfast with plenty of choice. Peter and Christine were wonderful hosts, the location was brilliant 2 minutes walk to centre and onsite parking. We will be returning.

Yet again, a lovely short break at this gem of a guest house. 
We booked prior to C-19 and were a bit concerned as what to expect in and around the area following the easing of lockdown.
We didn’t need to worry as Christine and Peter have everything covered. We both felt very safe and comfortable at all times. Hand sanitizer at the front door, full table service at breakfast, it was all just very efficient.
Breakfast, as always was superb and set you up for the day. 
Beds super comfy and all the little touches make it just perfect!
Really wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Windermere and can’t recommend this place highly enough.
Can’t end without giving Bertie ( the owner’s dog) a mention, he is just totally adorable and so well behaved. A truly gorgeous dog who we could have easily brought home with us!

We stayed here for 3 nights.  We wanted a guest house rather than a hotel in the Lake District. The room was very nice and clean.  Peter and Chris could not have been nicer.  What a welcoming pair.  Also, we got introduced to Bertie their dog who was equally warm and well mannered.  The breakfast is fabulous.  Location is very good.  It's only a block or two downtown to the restaurants, bars and shopping and only a few more blocks to the train station. Downhill from the train station, uphill back to the train station.  But, all very walkable. If we get back to Windermere we'll be sure to return!!

A lovely, quiet guest house situated very close to the main street in Windermere. We were lucky to have a parking space off the road.

The room was very pleasant and absolutely spotless. The bathroom had obviously been refurbished and the shower cubicle looked like new. Toiletries provided and decent loo paper! Tea, coffee, biscuits and water on tray in room. There was only one armchair in our room and not able to sit in it to watch TV as no room to move it.

The breakfast choice was fantastic and of such good quality. The scrambled eggs and salmon were the best I have ever had. Oh yes, the homemade marmalade was also superb!

Christine was very friendly and was helpful in suggesting restaurants and places to visit.

We will definitely go back there!

Read a few reviews on this place before we booked....but wow how amazing.... room spacious well decorated.... tea tray with hot chocolate and biscuits bonus..... bottled water too... all the littles touches made the difference... the hosts couldn’t do enough for you.... breakfast choices were amazing too... if we’re staying in the lakes again I’d deffo book here.  Room 4 we had nothing at all wrong with the mattress as stated in a previous review nor were the beams watery...!! As I said before amazing.....

2nd stay at this wonderful little guest house and again a fabulously relaxing few days. We wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Windermere. The owners are so helpful and friendly and can’t do enough for you.
We did a lot of walking and on the first day, returned to a chilled bottle of wine...a lovely touch 💖
Breakfast is to die for and certainly sets you up for the day!
Rooms are extremely clean and well equipped including a hot water bottle for chilly nights, a fan for warm weather and even a ‘proper sized’ hairdryer.
Can’t recommend highly enough!

We had a lovely stay at this delightful B&B in the heart of Windermere. No 4 is in a perfect location, just a short stroll to a great selection of bars and restaurants, with the lake a gentle twenty minute walk away  downhill in Bowness. The hosts, Christine and Pete, were very friendly and helpful and clearly nothing was too much trouble for them. Pete even gave us some seeds from one of their shrubs that he had seen us admiring in the car park.
There’s a good Selection on the breakfast menu, but having started with the full English on our first morning we were so impressed that we went for the same option every day.
Our room was the converted loft, which was a good size and had great views (weather permitting). My only very slight issue is the size of the en suite bathroom, which was a bit tight, although it did make the most of the space available. That said, we will definitely go back to stay at No 4 if we are in the area and I would gladly book into the same room.

We have just returned from a 4 day stay for new year. Great start as we had parking. Welcomed by the lovely Christine, shown to a beautiful little room, tho it was big enough for us. Little touches like a hot water bottle, big hair dryer. And bottled ‘drinkable tap water’ that made me giggle ha. Wine glasses and a bottle opener.  Bed and pillows were super comfy. The only thing I would fault on was breakfast was too early from 8 till 9. And after long walks. And being up early all year for work, It was difficult to get up so early never mind eat that early.  Lovely choice but the first morning you are told to have the full fry up. I am sorry but I have to say albeit being locally sourced good produce, it was very dry (either cooked in the oven, or with no fat) and I’m sure the beans were the no added salt or sugar as they were tasteless,  us and the couple next to us really struggled to get it down. Then as you are still trying to chew through it, you are asked what you want for tomorrow’s breakfast 😫 The poached eggs were by far the best, oh and the kippers too, but you get far too many and we had quite a few toilet stops after (lol) Other than that it was a perfect stay our hosts were friendly and offered advice on best places to eat. And the place was warm, inviting and very clean. The location was by far the best you could get to be near the town but that was a little too commercial, and have to say next time we’d be looking for somewhere off the beaten track. Have to say a huge thank you to Pete and Christine tho for the warm, friendly welcoming, and just for being really nice people and making us feel at home!!
