Heatherdene House

Booked a last minute overnight stay at this lovely B&B. We were met by our host
Mike who was extremely welcoming. Had a very comfortable room with nice touches
including a jug of water, tea, coffee and biscuits. Compact shower room complete with
hand a shower gel. We had a lovely nights sleep in a very quiet area.
This was followed by a great breakfast. Buffet of fruit, cereals, yogurts and juice.
Then Mike provided a full freshly cooked English breakfast with tea and coffee.
The whole experience including the lovely Art Deco furniture throughout the property
made for a very welcome relaxing weekend. Will definitely return and would not hesitate to recommend.

Mike and Alison were really knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating hosts. The house is ideally located to explore the area in a very quiet and pleasant residential position. Parking is no problem. Lovely garden to relax in for evening drinks. Mike kept us informed on places to visit and was very helpful in giving directions and ideas.
Lovely cooked English breakfast too.

Easy reach of restaurants and cinema for evening trips.
Lulworth is an absolute must visit for its outstanding beauty on the coast with breathtaking walks overlooking the white cliffs. The resorts of Lyme Regis, Swanage and Weymouth are all well worth a visit. Corfe Castle, and houses like Kingston Lacey and Thomas Hardy's house are all lovely trips out as well as Brownsea Island, Poole etc. 

We would have no hesitation in returning to Heatherdene House.

We have stayed here several times and have always been made so welcome, and lots of little extras such as fresh fruit and flowers in the room. We just love staying here. Breakfast is very good and the owners are so helpful, nothing is too much trouble.

Beautiful house, spotlessly clean, full of warmth and elegantly furnished with Art Deco wardrobes, paintings and ornaments. The garden is enormous and the bed in our room was the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in. But the best thing was our hosts, Mike and Alison, who were so friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble and the laser show garden and bathroom added a fun querky twist. Can’t recommend enough. 

I had the pleasure of two nights at Heatherdene House. Unfortunately prior to my first night I was admitted to Poole A&E, preventing my arrival late around 1930. The Owner could not do enough to assist me to my room and make my saty a welcome one (although I was in pain and on medication). I had a sound sleep the first night. 

Breakfast was perfect.

All I can add is I hope to return to Heatherdene House again in the future and I can fully recommend a stay here.

We love staying here as we are always made to feel so welcome and nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast is excellent and there are lovely touches like flowers, fruit, chocolates in the room. We feel really special whenever we stay here.

We booked this accommodation at short notice to facilitate a last minute golf trip to nearby courses. 
We were welcomed by Mike who was very helpful and informative. 
Our room (3) was fine for just an overnight stay, but was on the small side with the bathroom being minuscule. I would not have wanted to spend a week in this room. However it was a last minute booking and before we left we did get to peek into the other two rooms which appeared much more spacious. 
Our room did however have all of the facilities one would expect and being at the rear of the property was quiet. We also got to view Mike’s amazing garden lighting effects. I spent ages trying to work out how he had achieved them. 
It was also nice to see a few rescue chickens housed at the rear of the garden. They had arrived that week and already were laying eggs. 
We’re not big on breakfasts and usually cereal and toast suffices. However we did see other guests being served with fantastic ‘All English’ breakfasts. 
WiFi connection was superb and there are also excellent on-property parking facilities. 
The property is ideally situated, just 4.5 miles from Poole and probably 5 to 6 from the centre of Bournemouth. 
All in all, this was a very good overnight stay and probably had we had one of the other two rooms given it a five star rating.
