Lovely pub friendly staff and atmosphere, ideally location for our trip to the bladnoch distillery that is located directly across from the inn. Thanks.

Cosy and welcoming stay.

I only did a quick overnight stay, travelling for work.

Despite be arriving close to 10.30pm, Derek was very welcoming..

The room was spotlessly clean and comfortably warm.

I had a great night's sleep, and away early the next morning.

I would definitely return.

Trip towards ferry home back from weekend sporting activity. Very easy going,  relaxed atmosphere no hassles - simple but comfortable room. Spent very pleasant few hours in bar with owner and local having great friendly chat on all manner of topics. Very relaxing. Great breakfast in morning to set me up for the day. Overall lovely experience and v happy to stay there again and hope too next time I’m in Scotland

Just returned from a 2 night stay at this inn. The room was spotless and warm the beds were lovely and comfortable. The owner and his sons were so friendly and helpful as were the rest of the staff. We dined in the restaurant for Saturdays curry night . It was really tasty and good size portions . There is plenty of seating outside   All in all had a great stay and will return and highly recommend .

Great little Inn in an ideal location for the Distillery

Absolutely wonderful pub. Great atmosphere, excellent food (Balmoral Chicken a must) and amazing staff (Tasha and Derek are superb hosts). Accommodation is clean and comfortable. Very highly recommended. 

We booked a table for 15 friends to enjoy Sunday lunch.  Most of us chose the carvery. All of our food choices were served by very helpful staff., and the food was absolutely delicious. Everyone in our group was very impressed and will return again, and again.
There is very little car parking space, on street parking is limited, so allow sufficient time to park if you have a booking. 
A bus service runs past the door, operated by Stagecoach. This is excellent cycling country and there is Bladnoch Distillery opposite. What more could you ask for?

Nice place to stay, especially as it is just opposite the distillery. We had nice and clean rooms and a wonderful dinner at the restaurant. Everyone was very friendly especially as we could not fully agree on the supported football team. Fully recommendation.

I am 6'6" and currently have limited mobility following an operation. Stairs were a slight problem and i got room 3 which as someone else mentioned had sloping ceilings in parts but there were numerous 'mind your head' signs. Room was compact and clean with two single beds. Limited parking - i ended up being told to park on part of the pavement outside the inn.Owner was very helpful but seemed to be pretty stressed with everything he had to do. Bar and restaurant staff were very attentive and welcoming. Food very good.No breakfastWould i go back - probably not with my current mobility problems but i would recommend to any others

Really enjoyed our stay. Accommodation was comfortable. Rooms were clean and warm. Staff were lovely and so helpful. We had a baby with us and Derek, the owner, kindly gave us another room as there was not a lot of space in the room to accomodate our portable cot. The food in the pub was really good too. Didn’t have the breakfast as we were visiting family but we enjoyed the evening meals there. Would highly recommend.

Excellent place for a meal.

INEXPENSIVE STAY no breakfast provded .compact room but comfy single bed . Good food ,especiallyt as Friday night is discount fish and chips night! Nicely cooked and presented without over supplied chips - a common fault!good local ale -unlike a lot of Scotland. Would stay again - bad points? telly didnt pick up any channels but probably easily fixed and parking on road only option.

a rare bargain in the B&B Inn sector

The Bladnoch Inn staff were wonderful, very helpful and willing to accommodate any request (meals, water bottles, etc).  The old Inn itself has great charm as a country pub. Located directly across the street from Bladnoch Distillery, so very good location for visiting that site, or Wigtown just a mile distant.  Our room was very small and basic, but had en-suite and everything to make us comfortable. We enjoyed our short stay there.

Great staff at Bladnoch Inn

great experience, we were a group of four guns and the facilities were perfect, we were encouraged to ask for anything if we did not find it and the staff were amazing.
the owner was a top chap and the main barman Jonno was simply outstanding and a wealth of local knowledge. Kirsty really looked after us at breakfast time and there was plenty of it and the evening meal was really very good, being served by competent and friendly waiting staff. in all a friendly place to stay with all that you could need to make your stay a great one, well done all of you, we will be back.

our shooting weekend

Just home from three nights at the bladnoch inn with friends. This has to be one of the best little hotels in Scotland. Completely family run and nothing whatsoever was a problem for derek and his sons. The rooms are clean and warm and ideal for a few nights away. To be honest we were expecting the food to be just generic pub grub but we where wrong the food was amazing and the Guinness is unreal we will be back before the end of the year these people know how to look after their customers 10/10 from me

What a spot

Went with family (Cousins) for the Sunday carvery. Excellent choice of meat and vegetables. Nicely presented and plenty of it. Surrroundings were good and service was good but not much was required. Only slight downer was some of the vegetables were not hot enough and where we sat it was a bit cool. Having said that, when we finished the meal moved in front of a roaring fire in the other bar. Would definitely go again when in the area as the meal & drinks were excellent value.
