I’ve never stayed anywhere else in Whitby and nor do I intend to. Rylstone Mere is in a great location, the rooms and facilities lovely, comfy and homely and the hosts are great. I was staying with my mum, who hadn’t been anywhere (including restaurants etc) since before lockdown, and she felt very safe staying with the measures in place. Thankyou for another lovely stay.

Having stayed in a number of guest houses in different parts of the country, there is generally a theme of being a bit tired and low budget- NOT THE CASE HERE

From the moment we arrived it felt like a home away from home. Watty was brilliant- offered to help with our luggage, gave us some great tips around local sights etc and made sure we were well settled. It was very clear what precautions were in place for COVID 19, without this being over bearing and felt very safe and comfortable. The room was stunning and what a luxury to have breakfast in the room- lovely and relaxing and really added to the homely feel. Due to COVID, breakfast is cereal and toast- plenty of food and nothing too much trouble! Tea and coffee facilities that were very well stocked (a rarity anywhere!), comfy bed and lovely surroundings. This was our first trip to Whitby but we will definitely be back and wouldn't stay anywhere else. Stay safe and well Watty and Michaela and we will see you very soon. Emma and Barry 

Hosts were very friendly and helpful and room was very nice and comfortable would come again close to the centre of  whitby some nice pubs and restaurants to visit and it was a good base to get out and about 

We stayed here for 4 nights, it was just lovely. Great location for Whitby, the rooms were extremely clean, nice shower, with very hot water. The whole b&b was just lovely and warm and cosy and very clean throughout. Wouldn’t definitely recommend to anyone that wants to stay in Whitby for a few days. 

We only stayed for one night and I wish it could have been longer.  The room was spotlessly clean, spacious, and the bed was huge and very comfortable.  The location is great, just a short walk into town and the free parking was a bonus.  

We had a lovely 2 night stay at Rylstone Mere, had a lovely welcome & our beautiful bedroom overlooked the park, breakfast was available to have in the room on request due to covid, only a few mins walk into centre for pubs/restaurants & the swing Bridge. We will deffinatly be making another booking hopefully in the near future. 

Ideal location about 10mins walk to the harbour. Host really helpful with recommendations for restaurants etc. Nice big room comfy bed. Breakfast brought to room due to current restrictions. A great stay!

We have been staying at Rylstone Mere for round about 6 years and would not stay anywhere else. The rooms are fantastic and spotlessly clean and the hosts are lovely. Breakfast is delicious and brought to your room. We always feel well relaxed after a stay here and the location is perfect for a nice stroll into town.

Weather was excellent too so that topped it off perfectly 😎 First time staying overnight in Whitby and certainly won't be the last. Make sure you try availability at Rylstone Mere first before trying anywhere else ☺️☺️

Clean and comfortable room,only a short walk to the town centre. Our hosts Watty and Michaela were welcoming and always on hand, we even got a phone call on the day before we travelled not to use the A64 and suggested a better route due to roadworks.Great advice
