Just returned home from a great weekend away with friends.this is one of the best B&Bs I have stayed in the rooms a great with everything you need it was a clean and tidy and fantastic breakfast with lots of choice . Jill the owner is so lovely and made sure we were ok and happy with everything and she also has great  recommendations of where to go in the town. Thank you for welcoming us into your B&B Jill!!  we hope to see you soon in the near future

beautiful and welcoming B&B , we had a lovely weekend  , jill couldent do enough for the 3 of us ,  beautiful breakfast , and she recommended the best places to go , within 5 mins from the very heart of whitby to , after going here couple  years back  we wouldent  go any where else , carnt wait for another return

What a wonderful little place this is, Jill the owner was lovely n very informative, our room was sml but served the purpose and was lovely n clean.Bfast was very nice n plentiful plus real blackpudding bonus. My furbaby was also made very welcome 😊 we will definitely be paying another visit. Thank u Jill 💓

We stayed for three nights, Jill is lovely, she gave us good info about the area and recommended places to see and eat was we had our dog, the rooms are comfortable and a good size, the breakfast is outstanding. The location is great. Highly recommended

We stay here twice a year for the steampunk festivals. This year it was cancelled so we actually stayed for 6 nights and loved it. It was covid safe and all sanatised every day.The guest house is decorated to a very high standard. It is very clean and tidy. The rooms are beautiful and warm and the bathroom has a bespoke bath that is a fantastic bonus.The hosts are such friendly people and cant do enough for you. The breakfast is amazing and they cater to all our needs. We wouldnt stay anywhere else and already booked for feb. Fantastic.

This was a last-minute booking. The room was cosy, warm and clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast was nice. You might not be able to park right outside (but that is normal for many Whitby B&B's) - but the plus side of that is that the location is quiet and an easy stroll to all the attractions of Whitby.

My husband and I wanted a quick weekend away and have returned to Joben with our dogs. 

The room was clean and very well equipped for all of our needs, Jill & Geoff both very welcoming

This guest house is a lovely place very well run and a very comfortable place to stay Jill is a lovely lady makes you very welcome. We had a fantastic time. We would like to thank Jill and Geoff for a lovely holiday see you again in October for Goth weekend.

Excellent Whitby B&B

A really warm welcome and help from Jill and Geoff. Only small (3 rooms I think) but beautifully decorated and with all the necessaries (eg hair-drier, free wifi) provided. Super breakfast, with as much as you want of whatever you want. Parking is on the street outside, which costs £3 per day for a parking permit; in the time we were there we had no trouble finding a space. Great location, only a short stroll from the centre of Whitby and the harbour. Will definitely go back when we visit Whitby again.

Great B&B in an excellent location

Jill was lovely and very welcoming, the room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was included in the price and was very nice. The only thing I would say that let it down was the free parking is only during the hours of 6pm and 9am, after this time it was permit parking only but there was a pay and display car park a couple of streets away. Other than that one thing our trip was very good.

Very good 

We spent one night in the guesthouse whilst visiting the east coast for the weekend. We had the family room as it was the last one available. It had a double bed and two single beds and has lovely decor and was very comfortable. There is a sink in the room and a separate bathroom just next to the bedroom.
The breakfast was very good and set us up well for the day.
The only down side was that the shower didn't work as there was no pressure.  We tried everything, but couldn't even get cold water out of it. We raised this with the owners who reduced the price we paid. Other than this it was a lovely stay.

A pleasant stay

Whilst I’ve visited Whitby many times over the years, it’s not often I end up doing an overnighter as it’s so close to home in Stockton! For the purposes of participating in one of my best mates stag weekend, my partner and I booked two nights at the Joben Guesthouse. 

What a fabulous find! Jill is the perfect hostess and made us feel SO welcome from the moment we arrived on Friday afternoon through to checkout on Sunday morning.

Our room was impeccably clean, lovely spacious and comfortable double bed, a real home from home. 

Breakfast (2 x vegetarian Fry-ups) was JUST what the doctor ordered on Saturday and Sunday morning, accompanied by copious coffee and toast - with REAL butter. None of that margarine nonsense. 😊

Truly, didn’t feel like we were staying in a guesthouse at any stage, was like staying at a mates house! And my goodness we had some laughs. 

Can’t recommend enough and just writing a thank you card to post first thing in the morning. 

We have already decided to revisit Whitby for another weekend at some stage during the winter months. We know exactly where we will be staying. Why bother going anywhere else? Looking forward to it already.
