This was one if the best B &B ive stayed in . Very clean everything you need in the room.Breakfast was excellent . The owners were very friendly couldnt do enough for you. Will definitely be staying there again.

What a find, an excellent B&B with parking, (it is very hard to find accommodation with parking in Whitby),  we had a lovely stay, the owners and the attention to detail makes all the difference. We couldn't fault any aspects of our accommodation, it is a bonus to have a fridge on the landing, there is always fresh milk available and the guests are welcome to use the fridge too.
The breakfasts are exceptional and way above the average B&B, we will definitely be back. I have no hesitation in recommending  this excellent, spotlessly clean B&B.

Just returned from a lovely few days in Whitby staying at the Grove hotel. Immaculate  rooms, lovely breakfast, friendly hosts with good recommendations for local restaurants, 5 minutes walk into Whitby and the icing on the cake parking!! Would highly recommend.

We had room seven which was very clean and comfortable. Lots of drinks for everyone's taste.fudge and biscuits.the hosts are lovely and friendly. There are rules which we found easy to understand  which makes the guests and owners life easy.breakfast was good quality and tasty,no signs of grease on the plate which are also nice and warm.parking wasn't a problem to the rear of the property.

This is our 3rd visit to The Grove and we’ve already booked for another visit , it’s a great place to stay. The rooms are really clean and comfortable with everything you need , there are small fridges on each floor for the little bottles of milk they provide for your teas & coffee , which we prefer rather than the little plastic pots of milk. The breakfast is also good you have a good choice of cereals , or fresh fruit with yogurt then you have a choice of cooked breakfast along with toast , fruit juice , tea & coffee. For us when we’ve had breakfast we don’t eat anything else till early evening, the breakfast keeps us going all day. Danny & Joanna are really friendly & helpful and another added bonus The Grove has private parking, it’s also only a short walk to the shops and the harbour , if your planning a trip to Whitby we would recommend staying at The Grove.

Good sized room with very comfortable bed and pillows. Danny arranged a desk for me to do some laptop work - good wifi.
Excellent breakfasts - I had full english option and smoked salmon/scrambled egg/bagel option.
Joanna also arranged me an invite to Whitby Running Club training night!

Lovely friendly welcome and very nice large room at the front of the property with views of the park , very clean with tea , coffee etc with fresh milk !!! And bag of fudge , with complimentary toiletries and a wonderful breakfast with high quality produce , and the best scrambled eggs !!!! Can recommend 👌

It was our first time in this hotel and we really enjoyed our stay. The room was lovely and cosy, great breakfast, and the hotel is beautiful and in a nice quiet spot. The hosts Danny and Joanna were really friendly. We will definitely return on one of our many stays in Whitby.

We hadn't been to Whitby for years and I wanted to find somewhere nice for our anniversary weekend.

We stayed Thursday to Sunday and although the room was small and up 3 flights of steps it was very comfortable and well appointed. Jo and Danny are so friendly and welcoming and together cook and serve a delightful, healthy and very hearty breakfast.

The location is great with Pannett Park across the road, 5 minute walk down into the centre and a bus stop outside to Robin Hood's Bay and other delights if you fancy a bus ride. They also have a small, private car park behind The Grove.

We'd love to come again as there's so much to see and do in Whitby and the area and Joanna and Danny made us feel so welcome.

We have had a wonderful time at The Grove , rooms were very clean , plenty of teas , coffee decaf to hot chocolate . Biscuits & some lovely fudge. Breakfast was amazing and I thank you for the GF not many guest houses do that. Free parking was a bonus and 5min walk to centre. Will definitely come again . ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We really enjoyed our stay in The Grove. It was beautifully decorated with some lovely features and fittings. The room (2) was well equipped with all you would need, comfy beds and armchairs and a large en suite.
Danny kindly helped us with our bags down the steps entering the property from the rear - the parking was a bonus.
Breakfast was very tasty and again, the dining room was furnished with style. We had salmon and scrambled eggs both mornings and I can honestly say the eggs were the best I'd ever eaten (well done Danny!) 
All in all, delightful accommodation, well situated and with friendly and attentive owners! Thank you!

The room we were given was a better room than we had booked, thanks Joanna and Barry..

We had room number 1 with a very large super kingsize bed which was great for me as i am a very large person, it gave my wife plenty of room and she slept like a log. It was also easy to access the car park at the rear from this room, parking in Whitby can be expensive, and this was Free. Inside the room the tea and coffee sachets are of good quality, wine glasses provided too. Fresh milk is also provided in a refrigerator on the landing outside the room, that's a great touch as i am used to plastic milk sachets, so that was a really great too.

We could see Pannet park from the window, just across the road and was a brilliant walk around the park, well worth a visit.

Just a short stroll down the road are plenty of places to eat, including a wetherspoons, Angel fish and chips is right next door to that for a take away or eat in at reasonable prices.

The hosts are very friendly and welcoming and made us feel very welcome.
The breakfast is pre ordered the night before, which i like, and the quality of ingredients are superb, the bacon and sausage are fabulous and all hot, everything is served at the table, not buffet style like some places, brilliant.

I thought i detected a slight Dutch accent with Barry, i may be wrong, and the stained glass window on the front door said "Huis" which i know is Dutch for home, either way they made us feel like part of their home for the lovely stay.

The atmosphere is very relaxed here and i would definetly return again when i come to Whitby .

Disliked  · It would be nit picking, but perhaps at the right hand side of the window in room 1 some way to block the streetlight shining through the gap between curtains and frame? I'm not sure if that's even possible.

Relaxing, welcoming, high quality stay close to the main town.

We stayed at The Grove weekend 14th October. Really lovely B&B. Room was lovely we didn't need anything very well equipped. We were met by our host who took us to our room which was lovely with additional extras which I loved as it involved crisps and fudge. Lovely touch. 

Breakfast was beautifully cooked really nice. There is nothing I could fault in your breakfast nothing was any trouble. Lovely breakfast

B & B situated a stones throw from the town centre really good location. We will definitely  go back there.

Value for money is excellent. In fact it all was excellent we really enjoyed our stay
