Wonderfull spacious room and very clean. Very spacious bathroom with big shower and plenty of storage areas. Wendy was a lovely lady. All the best for the future . Close to whitby centre 10 minutes to walk down. Car parking at the back. Definitely I would stay here again. 

What a lovely little hotel we had room 4 which was huge and had lovely original features . The room was  Immaculately clean and tidy .when we got in on Friday there was a bottle of Prosecco on the side which was a lovely touch and greatly appreciated . 
The hotel is only a short walk around 10 mins into Whitby my husband and I did this twice a day and I’m not a fan of walking lol . 
Wendy our host was a lovely lady very accommodating and friendly especially considering  we should of been there a week earlier but due to illness we couldn’t make it so she let us move it to the following weekend . Fantastic place to stay we will be back can’t recommend it enough !!

We booked this at the last minute literally after being let down by another provider. The room was very comfortable and clean and we both slept exceptionally well I would not hesitate to book here again. Slightly out of the main center but taxis are so cheap it did not matter. 

We had our second stay here this week, which tells you everything you need to know. First time was back in January - we struck it lucky with a sunny weekend so decided to bolt up to our favourite place. Found Prospect on booking.com and decided to go for it. The room was lovely and snug - heating kept us nice and toasty! Room & stay were brilliant back then, and just as good, if not better, this time. Wendy has spent lockdown sprucing the place up (not that it needed it!), and it looks so fresh & bright. Lovely and clean, well-equipt room (we stayed in Endevour, right up at the top, both times), 10 mins walk from the town centre (bonus of free parking at the guest house, meaning you can get to Whitby, leave your car at your accommodation, then walk down to the town, meaning you avoid paying for parking whilst you’re there!). Wendy is doing everything right to adhere to COVID guidelines - we saw her sterilising doorknobs, bannisters & surfaces multiple times whilst we were there, and she’s put extra cleaning equipment in the rooms. Won’t stay anywhere else, now - see you soon, Wendy!

Absolutely perfect for a relaxing weekend away so peaceful and no body around to bother us you can just. Hill or go on long walks or just chill in the hot tub or the spar bath then relax in front of the open wood burner

Plenty of free parking. Within walking distance to the town of Whitby but far enough away to be quiet.  
Our bed was comfortable and the accommodation suitable, however the room was a little small.
Whitby is a lovely old  port with immense history.
The town gets busy with both people and cars, and the car parks get full.
It is certainly best to walk into town.

Stayed a couple of nights as a late getaway.  Called Wendy the owner direct and she was extremely helpful and booked us in. Very good value for money and it  has exceeded our expectations. Clean and tidy well located in a quiet area with free parking. Everything you need for a breakaway that doesn't break the bank. We will return at some point.  Thanks Wendy for a great time. 

Lovely clean guest house.very comfortable surroundings .Wendy is a lovely lady and very friendly.our second visit here and have rebooted for next year. Bonus is having free parking space which for Whitby is amazing.

Arrived and had a warm welcome.  Parked up on site and was given a key to a our room.  We were in the attic which was very spacious, clean and had tea and coffee making facitlies.  The bathroom was large and there was a huge wardrobe space.  The tv worked and the décor was good.  We had a peaceful nights sleep and the bed was comfy.  We wouldn't have asked for more. Would definitely stay again with only a 10 minute walk to Whitby Centre or a five pound taxi ride.

A fab little new year break

Stayed here for 4 nights, 10 min walk to town but very steep hill if not fit, however taxi approx £5 from town if you are walking with heavy bags.. Very small room we had but booked quite late so nothing else available but comfortable with tea and coffee available.  Good parking at rear.  Central heating sounds like a cement mixer once it goes on however at least you know it’s on...

Lovely Guest house Free Parking and Friendly

Perfect location, just far enough from the centre to be quiet, but only a quick 10 min walk & your right in the heart of whitby, Wendy is the perfect host, rooms are clean & comfortable,& there is parking on site which is hard to get if you stay any further into town, a hassel free visit would stay again

Steampunk weekend

Wonderful spacious clean room. 

Very clean and comfortable room. Mattress was exceptional. Ensuite clean. Wendy was very friendly. Just a short 10 min walk to town. Lots of available parking. Would stay again. 1 star off only for not providing clean cups in room.
