The Leaping Salmon

A lovely place to stay. From the minute we walked in wa we was made to feel welcome.  The room was very clean and had a very comfortable   king-size bed a a fabulous walkin shower.  The food was amazing and the home made crumpets are out of this world.

Everything we needed for a couple of nights away with the kids. Great location to get up onto Dartmoor, excellent breakfast, and worth booking dinner for more good food (and some nice musical entertainment). The rooms are above the pub, so bear in mind it can get a little noisy but with reasonable opening hours, it’s nothing that would keep you up too late (or early!).

Both members of the crew we met were very good. Ben? and Lu went above and beyond to be helpful and friendly.

An absolutely idyllic location to stay, although we didn’t get try the full menu. We had the wood fired pizza which was delicious. We were also treated to a session with local musician that come together regularly to practice. Massively talented musicians. Was an absolute pleasure to have experienced this little slice of heaven on earth.

Bedroom number 2. Warm, clean, beautiful big shower. Cracking good breakfast. Bedrooms on first floor, no lift. It's a pub with rooms above, very pleasant atmosphere about the place and good service.

Double room, large bed. Room overlooking river. Good quality toiletries in newly refurbished shower room. Tea and coffee making facilities. Good to have a radio and not a TV. Entrance to room via an external stairway. Very high quality food served at breakfast and evening time. Quiet haven in lovely area.

Stayed here for a weekend whilst visiting family. Rooms are brand new and very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. Unfortunately the bar was only open on the Saturday evening but we reserved a table in the garden and had a very pleasant evening with pizza, beer and wine. Rachel, our host could not have been more helpful!

Very friendly staff, flexible to our requirements. quality linen, beds, pillows and a comfy bed.  I would recommend.

A great place to stay

Booked this for business and disappointed that pub and restaurant closed on weds eve. Clearer messaging should advise this, no tv and it would appear i used all the broadband width as other guest in the morning said she couldnt get on, bed and pillows were very comfortable and breakfast at 9am opening was very tasty, not really a place for a business travellor

Comfortable bed but Pub/restaurant not open

Quite disappointed to find that the pub & restaurant are closed Monday - Wednesday. This wasn't on your website, they told me you have been notified of this.It meant I had to find somewhere else to eat as the next nearest pub was also closed on a Monday as well as the local chip shop.Also surprised that there wasn't a tv in the room, never had that before.
