Mel welcomed us to her lovely guesthouse with a smile, great cup of coffee and scrumptious brownie.   Our room was spacious, tastefully decorated with an amazing view of the countryside.  Attention to toiletries and conveniences in our room did not go unnoticed. The breakfast selection was fantastic as was the meal.  Restaurants for dinner are a plenty too. We will certainly be booking this spot again when in the area.  It is the perfect rest spot en rout to the Highlands

My Wife and I booked 3 nights here at the Carnforth Guest House as a base whilst visiting our Son, Daughter and Grandchildren ,We arrived to an enthusiastic friendly greeting from the Lady proprietor (Val) who gave us the front door and room keys and showed us to our room wishing us, an enjoyable stay and a....Don't hesitate to ring if you need anything. We found the room to be more than suitable for the duration of our stay ,with tv, en-suite shower and all the other expected extra's such as hair dryer, clothes press and usual tea/ coffee making facilities ( with border shortbread  biscuits).
The room itself was kept very clean and serviced daily with replenished towels, beverages, biscuits....oh yes, I almost forgot ,a little chocolate each by the bed ☺. The bedroom was'nt noisy and a good night's sleep was had on a medium/ hard mattress with comfy pillows.
We had to order our breakfast requirements the previous evening, this was no bother and we both really enjoyed the brekkie the next morning.
We will stay here again .......If that's ok Val  ? .....☺

Very room were decorated lovely and the beds were incredably comfy. Best sleep i've had in ages. (Nice and warm ).The owners were incredibly friendly and made me and my friends feel extremely welcome.

Ideal location for visiting RAF Waddington. Very clean, excellent made to order breakfast, and a very friendly owner. Adequate off road parking. This is a great B&B and would definitely recommend and stay there again.

Stayed here in January for 4 nights - and what a lovely place it was too.  From Val's welcome until our departure , my colleague and I (rooms 2 & 4) couldn't fault the place.  It's a five minute walk from 3 different pubs, many takeaways and a local Budgens and the food in the Horse & Jockey was lovely.  The room was a great size with a bathroom - small perhaps, but the facilities all worked and the shower was superb in Rm 2! - double bed and tea, coffee, biscuits, etc all provided.  Breakfast is ordered the evening before and there is plenty of it - all incredibly tasty, too.  If you're looking to stay in the Lincoln area, you'll do very well with a stay in Carnforth.

The room was small but had an ensuite. The ensuite made an awful noise when the shower or toilet was used and smelt of sewerage. It was generally quite unclean and dirty. The hairdryer was sticky!
We went for breakfast and were greeted by a rude lady as we had not all understood the menu to select from. I understand that we had misunderstood but the correct approach is not to be rude and brash! I would not stay here again.
