Fantastic two night stay. Extremely hospitable hosts who couldn't do enough. Location and standard of rooms spot on. Would recommend to anyone who stays in the area. Ashbourne is a lovely town to be next to also. 

We stayed here for 2 nights for a wedding nearby. Jane and Brian were very welcoming. The architecture of the building is breathtaking, it is beautifully decorated and very clean. Our room was very spacious with beautiful views. Breakfast was amazing with a choice of fresh fruit, granola, cereal, yogurt, toast, a full english, scrambled eggs and mushrooms. The scrambled eggs are some of the best I've tried (thanks Brian!). I cannot fault this place and would gladly come back.

A little piece of heaven in the lovely countryside. We couldn't fault a thing.....a welcoming cup of tea and biscuits from the host Jane. ...and her Dad! Our room was spacious and one of the cleanest rooms we have stayed in. Roll top bath.....extremely relaxing after a day out. Would highly recommend The Saracens Head in Shirley around 20 mins drive for a fantastic meal. 
The freshly cooked breakfast the next morning is a must....fresh fruit and coffee too.

Stayed for one night mid-week whilst hunting for property in Derbyshire. Would have gladly moved in! A perfect location and a perfect host (Elaine)-covering for the owners-couldn't have been more helpful. We had the Chatsworth room which was very spacious with the added luxury of a roll top bath. Very quiet and relaxing. The only disappointment was that we couldn't stay longer and will definitely return. The conversion (décor and quality) is a real credit to the owners.

This place is just so unbelievably beautiful and is set within well kept and loved grounds - it's just perfect.  I cannot fault this place whatsoever and will return time and time again.  One of the best places that we have stayed and the owners are just amazing.
