Wonderful stay (again). This is our second trip to quarry walk park, staying in the Hodgehog Cabin both times. Lovely accommodation,  wonderful hot tub, very clean and fantastic customer service. 
You can borrow books and movies from reception to use during your stay free of charge, which is a lovely added service! 

We have visited quarry walk a number of times over the years and it never fails to impress. The location is beautiful, great for dog walks, and the log cabins are a little bit of luxury, but also feels like home with everything you need to make your stay very comfortable. The staff are amazing, they can never do enough to help and the site is kept very clean and to a high standard. We Will be back Quarry Walk!

Had the most gorgeous mini break here. Could not fault it. Location is beautiful. I wanted to stay somewhere isolated with good walks and it did not disappoint. Such a peaceful place with accommodation nicely spread so you don’t feel overlooked by your neighbours. 
We stayed in cabin 38 which is an owl cabin. We liked the quirky hot tub in the garden. Sitting in it you really felt like you were in the middle of nowhere. 
Our cabin was spotless, fresh clean, white linen on the beds and fluffy, huge towels. The kitchen is really well stocked with lots of pots, pans, crockery. Just like a home from home. 
If you want a pub lunch, 2 local pubs- the raddle inn and the queens at Freehay are in walking distance (quite a substantial walk but manageable) handy to note that takeaways from the local area also deliver to the park. However because the kitchen was so well equipped it was easy to make home cooked meals most nights. 
Will most definitely be booking a stay here again. We have loved every minute. It’s a perfect place to unwind and explore the surrounding area.

Amazing! Perfect log cabin stay!! Exactly what we wanted. Clean, modern, every amenity you could ask for. Kitted out kitchen. Bluetooth speakers. Mood lighting. Hot tub. Decking area with seating. Just perfect! 
Had a walk around and lots of development happening. There's adult only areas and some for families too. Would highly recommend. Staff were all SO friendly! Really made the stay highly enjoyable!!

We came away for a short weekend break to celebrate my dads 60th birthday. 

The log cabin was perfect just for what we needed. It was spotless, lovely and warm on arrival. We had our own hot tub which was ready for when we arrived. The rooms were all very spacious and bedrooms were very comfortable. There was no phone signal which didn’t bother us because it was nice to able to relax.

On arrival there was a lovely little welcome back for us and our 4 legged friend which was a nice touch. We visited a couple of places in the booklet which were recommended but if you want a treat I would definitely recommend ramblers retreat. 

Only downside to the weekend was we couldn’t check in till 4pm and checkout time was 10an which we were a where of but it was so lovely it would be been nice to have been able to check in before 4pm. 

All in all a lovely weekend with family in a great location.

We stayed here for three nights over the Halloween weekend, to enable us to do Scarefest at Alton Towers. 

We were amazed on first impressions at how beautiful the lodge and surrounding area was. It was so peaceful too. 

The hot tub was the best we've experienced. 

The lodge itself is clean and impressive. Great facilities within, lovely towels, comfortable beds and a great bath and shower. 

We were impressed that each bedroom had a TV and a main TV in the living area with a lovely comfortable corner couch. The table was also set beautifully for us arriving. 

It was fabulous after a long busy day at the Theme Park to retreat back to this wonderful little place. 

My only niggle was the extra charge for WiFi, and it's only an observation because of the lack of phone signal. It's appealling to be uncontactable but a little worrying in case anything was to happen and the ability or lack of to contact to someone in the dead of night. 

£8 for WiFi seemed excessive for 1 day when we were only at the lodge on the evening. 

Other than this, it was an excellent stay and we hope to return. Thank you for making our little Halloween holiday a one to remember :)

We've just arrived back from 3 nights here, staying in a Badger 6 Lodge (35) honestly had THE best time, would return in a heartbeat. The parks lovely, as a million other reviews have pointed out, the unmade roads to the lodges are bumpy and the signal is non existent - it's advistised literally everywhere over their social media, website etc etc - to read other reviews from people slating the bad signal is silly - if you need internet and/or phone signal, just book some place else because Quarry Walk Park wont be for you. Everyone else, visit! The lodge was so spacious, beautifully decorated and had every amenity within. The kitchen fully equipped, washer/dryer, dishwasher and a full size fridge freezer a brilliant bonus - have read other reviews mentioning "small freezer" etc so not sure if a one off. Our son has silly dietary requirements so for us personally, having the ability to use a full kitchen is an absolute blessing. Night one I thought the oven didn't work (no big deal, although an out of hrs number i didnt deem it necessary, used the hob) I popped up to reception the following morning to report it and the maintenance man was already looking at the oven before I'd walked back! (Wasn't even anything wrong with the oven - I think it was me...)
The hot tub a great feature, could barely remove my daughter from it - alot of rules surrounding the hot tub but really only common sense rules, would only take one idiot for an accident, especially as they are essentially out of sight. Indoors we found the water quite cool, im sure just a switch on a thermostat but I didnt feel confident to start pressing buttons, the staff we came across were all lovely so Im certain if i mentioned it somebody would have helped but again, no big deal. Beds and sofa incredibly comfortable. We used it as a base for a few days at Alton Towers, all in all I found it pretty faultless and (unless we got ridiculously lucky with our lodge) I'm shocked to read some reviews that aren't glowing. Thanks for a great stay!

My partner and I have just spent 4 lovely nights in woodpecker Lodge 42. Its our second visit here and we absolutely love it. Clean and tidy lodge, comfortable bed and a lovely shower in the bathroom. We spent the whole time outside on the decking. We turned into twitchers with all the different birds that came to visit us.

We also went on the Quarry Walk trail up to the top of Quarry. Beautiful views up there! It's very up hill, up steps. Worth it if you can get up.

The shop on site has everything you need if you forget anything.

Loved the hot tub as always. Quite an experience being in a hot tub whilst thunder rumbmes around you.

We will definitely be back for another stay soon

Lodges are very secluded and private. Lovely to have the hot tub surrounded by woodland , it felt like we were miles from anywhere which we loved. 
 
When we arrived , there were treats and a ball for the dog, and a birthday card for my son, which was a lovely touch and much appreciated. Would have liked a king size bed, but the beds were very comfortable. Showers powerful. Kitchen was well stocked, would’ve preferred an extra frying pan and more plastic glasses for the hot tub. Not great drinking Prosecco out of a huge tumbler, minor details though. Place was very clean when we arrived and staff very helpful whenever we had any queries. One point to note is that if you break a glass it’s charged at £3.00 a go!! I thought this was quite excessive.

We booked it as we had 2 days at Alton towers . It was wonderful to return to a hot tub to relax! Lots of lovely walks - short and long around the park. Overall we absolutely loved it and will definitely return here! Highly recommended for a chilled out place to relax

Lovely stay, cabins are spacious, clean and have everything you need. The park is quiet and staff are very friendly and helpful. Hot tub was brilliant and so private on our terrace in fox cub. Lovely stay definitely would come back if in the area again.

Our 4th stay at Quarry Walk Park and yet again we had a lovely time. 

The first night was really disappointing due to our cabin being very cold. We woke the first morning to find the heating completely off and it being 12° in the cabin (this was not ideal as we had our 3 month old with us). 

However, this was dealt with very quickly and we were moved within a couple of hours to a new cabin (a lovely upgrade too) which was lovely and warm. 

As always the lodges are clean, tidy and have everything you need. 

Hot tubs are lovely and very clean and well maintained. 

A few reasons for not putting 5 stars: 
- WiFi really should be free now given how much the cost of stays has gone up over the last 4 years. 
- It would be much better if check in and check out times were adjusted. We always feel that with not being able to check in until 4 and then having to check out at 10 means that we essentially lose a day of our stay. 

We love Quarry Walk and will definitely be back again soon. 

Also definitely recommend local pub ‘The Raddle’ - lovely cosy pub with great food and drinks.

Would love to return!

Lovely lodge set in a disused quarry. Very clean, well equipped. Staff very helpful, we were shown how to use the hot tub on arrival, batteries changed in TV remote first thing in the morning. Our outside lights over the hot tub and decking stopped working after the first night which was a shame but by the time we were able to confirm they didn't work we were going home the next day so were happy to let them sort it afterwards.  Slightly disappointed not to have had a view (thick trees) but that would have just been the icing on an otherwise perfect cake. 
This is a very remote location, nearest pubs are a mile away and some of the roads are single track (and I had no idea quite how hilly and bendy Staffordshire roads are!). The route to the lodges from the entrance is also down an unmade road. 
Locally we visited Peak Wildlife Park, Ramblers Retreat tearoom (well worth a visit for afternoon tea or lunch), The Talbot pub in Alton with a lovely riverside garden, Matlock Bath and Ashbourne are under an hours drive. The teens also went to Alton Towers one day, which is just 5 miles away. Lovely part of the country, very secluded and quiet park, ideal for couples or as a base for a family who want to go out during the day and have family time in the evenings.

Lovely quiet break

This is my 8th time staying here and the most disappointing as some things in the lodge were shabby. There was burn marks over the work tops and a saucepan burn mark on the kitchen floor. Flooring lifting by shower in the bathroom. Electric went off twice and we had to get maintenance to sort it out. It was minus 4 outside so not ideal. 
The whole lodge needs updating and a lick of paint. The prices go up every year but the lodge has deteriorated. 
Driving around the park is full of pot holes and it’s been like that for over 5 years. 
On a positive note it was clean and the hot tub was fantastic. If these lodges aren’t updated I’m sure people will choose a different place to stay.
