Ideal location, very clean and tidy lovely helpful staff and good selection of food, beautiful scenery 🤗

A really good find for 2 nights. Good food, quiet, wifi, and near the main road for convenience. The room was a little warm but nothing turning the radiator down couldnt fix. Bed was comfy, shower was good, tv in the room. Everything you need for a little break to the beautiful South Lakes.

All the staff were very hospitable and friendly. They were very attentive and professional. The hotel therefore felt more like staying with people you knew. The food was very good and to a high standard. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. A unique building and layout. I was certainly very happy with my stay and would certainly stay there again.

Very poliete friendly staff, nothing was too much trouble. Very comfortable, clean tidy room. Food excellent. If i had a quibble it would be the fact the telly doesn't get BBC1, so I couldn't watch the football on Sunday night. That is no ones fault, because it was just due to lack of signal, because of the hills.

The Rusland was a quaint motel in need of an update. The basin was cracked, the carpets were frayed, the curtains dragged on the floor and were starting to fray, and the restaurant prices seemed high but saying that the breakfasts were good the room was nice and parking was good it even had car charging point. Overall it was a nice place to stay.  Unfortunately the view from our window was facing storage sheds or the washing line so not fantastic, the staff were nice and booking in was straight forward,  they even sent an email a day beforehand for you to confirm your arrival. Good place to stay if you are touring for a couple of days.

The blonde lady (that was going to IKEA) was fantastic,lovely and chatty and helpful. Great food compliments to the chef great home made lasagne,prices are a bit steep though.The room was nice but a very busy and noisy road outside.  Handy location for Windermere,the Lakeside & Hatherwaite railway and the fantastic Lakeland motor museum.

Would recommend with very few problems

We had a brilliant stay at the hotel. From the minute we arrived the service was brilliant. Although they were advertising for staff, nothing was too much trouble. Rooms were clean and comfortable.Including in the price of the stay was a full English breakfast, which was delicious. Every member of staff was helpful, and obliging. We had one hearty evening meal, fresh, hot and plentiful.

All the staff were welcoming, friendly & efficient on prior phone calls, at check in & during our stay. Our room was fresh & clean as was all restaurant rooms & bar. The hotel is beside the road but with window closed we were not disturbed & had a good nights sleep.We were spoilt for choice from the extensive evening meal menu, we enjoyed our meals & cooked English breakfast the next morning. If visiting the south Lakes I would recommend this hotel.

The food was good and a great selection. Being vegetarian was very easy and being vegan would have also been very easy.Unfortunately the maid changed our towels without our request which was a little annoying. Tea and coffe in the room and sometimes biscuits!The room was a bit in need if re decorating and not really worth the money.Cant fault the staff 😊

This is the first time we have stayed at this hotel and it won't be the last. From booking to checking out, the staff could not have been nicer.  The rooms were very good and the food was excellent. I would highly recommend this hotel. We were particularly impressed at how they endeavoured in every way to ensure our stay was 100% Covid-19 safe. The staff are fully committed to making sure none of their guests contracts Covid-19 during their stay whether they be rrsidents or non-residents.

Excellent place to stay

This is a great base for exploring the southern and western side of the lakes. Rooms are spread over the inn, and a bungalow annexe. The rooms were faultless, spotlessly clean, well equipped and very comfortable. A little bit of noise from the road in front but not enough to disturb sleep, especially as the mattress is so good. Excellent cooked breakfast in the morning, friendly and helpful staff, not taken for granted on what must have been the busiest weekend in 18 months or more

Warm welcome on busy bank holiday weekend

It was completely wonderful, perfect in every way. As a lone female business traveller and especially in these very trying Covid tunes to have everything you need under one roof is fantastic. Room was fantastic , bathroom also finished to a high standard, just like being at home.  The fact the dining room was open was absolutely fantastic and I’m not quite sure why the larger chain hotels have theirs closed ?? Anyhow so impressed was I I am Booking the Rusland Pool hotel again wk before Xmas as a treat for me and hubby as I think it will be magicalThat time of year .
