Mount Edgcombe Guest House

The whole experience at Mount Edgcombe was amazing, it’s a brilliant location and has free off road parking & as an added bonus, we were able to plug in our EV to an external socket as a destination charger to help us get a full battery for the return journey, this saved us time finding a hub on the way home, thanks for this. Our en-suite room at the front was beautiful, classic/modern touch, clean and very comfortable with everything you needed, including a fridge & a separate sofa/TV room. The Bed was soo comfy (my wife is very fussy) and the pillows were perfect, sleeping was not an issue. There are lots of little extras (slippers and robes) which makes you feel as if the owners have really gone the extra mile to give you that boutique/relaxed stay. Breakfast was absolutely delicious - fresh, hot and very tasty & the ability to pick & choose everything meant nothing was wasted & the ingredients were the best quality! Best breakfast we’ve had in any B&B or hotel, with soo much choice, we were literally stuffed! The separate stocked bar was a nice touch allowing us to relax & have a few drinks with the owners & other guests. Jo and Darren are the best hosts, very friendly, chatty and accommodating. Torquay seafront itself, is a lovely 10 min walk away through the Abbey Grounds, and the train station close by, plus a few pubs & restaurants round the corner. We would definitely recommend this Guest House and we will be going back again. Thank you very much Jo & Darren, see you again.
