Union Road Moto Velo

Brilliant place to stay for a stop-off while travelling or as a base for exploring this lovely part of the south-west, it is a really easy and comfortable place.We were in room 1 which had nice views of the church and was right next to the well-equipped kitchen area where you can go and make yourself a drink or relax in the lounge.Access is via two pin-secured doorways and then the room key, so it feels really secure. The place was warm, well decorated and with very comfy bed.Only downsides for some guests is there is a metal staircase to reach the rooms, and the road outside is rather busy so will be noisy during the main traffic hours but was fine overnight.Breakfast is downstairs in the cafe where there is a continental offering or the option to buy additional items. It's a very characterful space and the staff are wonderfully friendly and welcoming. Parking is free and easy in a yard opposite the hotel, and the area felt safe. There is also a beautiful park just a few minutes walk away - perfect for walking the dog or letting the kids play.Overall, I can't recommend this place enough. Very impressed.... also recommend the tour and sampling session at the nearby Sandford Orchards cider press - for any cider lovers out there this is a superb way to spend an evening.
