This is an extremely well run accommodation where they get  the little things right that make all the difference. For example, instructions on how to use 2 remotes to work the TV.  

There is on-site parking, it sis very quiet, yet a short drive from the town centre.

Also close to the National Library of Wales, which I was visiting.

I would definitely stay here again.

Good location , good value

Had a great time, a little way from the main road. In the evening I was really impressed by the quiet.  Breakfast is lovely. Room is comfortable and cosy,  we visited in Jan when avg day temp was 4 to 6 degrees and we were plenty warm enough. If we are this way again we will try to book this place. Host was very good.

Couple of days away

I stayed at penybont as I was visiting a family member in hospital and can honestly say that this is the best B&B I've been to. I was made to feel at home, the place was spotless and the room very comfortable. I slept really well all 5 nights. The ensuite bathroom was perfect.

Breakfast was cooked each morning by John who is a fantastic host! As many of the previous reviewers have stated, nothing is too much for John and you are made to feel at home.

The amenities available in the rooms are great (tea/coffee/orange juice/hot choc etc, tv, wifi, toiletries).

Parking is easy and is located right outside the B&B.

There is a stream which runs through the property next to the house which is a really nice feature, and extremely calming; especially if you enjoy the sound of running water at night.

I'd definitely stay here again! Would 100% recommend. 

Loved staying here!

We stayed here for four nights. We were made very welcome by John the owner. The breakfasts were out of this world & always ready at the appointed time & cooked fresh with plenty of variety. The room was very comfortable & clean also never short of tea, coffee & chocolate which was replenished every day. John is one of the nicest guys we've ever met & nothing is too much trouble for him. We would highly recommend Penybont.

Best B&B in the west of Wales.

I stayed here for one night whilst touring Wales on my motorcycle.
I was made to feel extremely welcome upon arrival by the owner John. 
My room was excellent, clean and welcoming, good selection of drinks, tea, coffee, juice, water etc. 
My bed was comfortable and relaxing. 
The place is so quiet and relaxing. 
Following a good night's sleep, a hot shower and then a breakfast fit for Royalty. 
Cereal, juice and a full English (or Welsh, depending on your point of view 😋😉) 
All on all a great place to stay, I would recommend it to friends and family and I would return here again. 
Nearly forgot to mention, good off road parking available, free of charge and well away from prying eyes , good for the bike.
It helps that John is a biker himself 👍


Biker friendly hidden gem 

We stayed here for three nights and absolutely loved it,John was a fantastic host nothing was too much trouble for him and he cooked us a lovely breakfast,will definitely come here again,internet and mobile access was fine,the beds were very comfortable and it was so quiet.

Fantastic find.

We visited with our small dog - were immediately made to feel "at home" by John, the host - he even took our dog for a walk while we were eating! Easy to find by car and also on bus route - taxis available. The place is small but everything in place you could wish for. Excellent breakfast. I have recommended it to friends who are frequent visitors to Aber.

Great place tucked away on outskirts of Aberystwyth

This is a fantastic place to stay. When we arrived we were made welcome as was our dog. We were shown to our room and help was offered with bags had we needed it. The room was clean, tidy and well provisioned for tea and coffee,plus water and orange juice. The ensuit was clean with a powerful shower. The freee WiFi was fast and reliable. We were given an excellent recommendation for our evening meal in Aberystwyth. Breakfast was freshly cooked with proper taosted bread, even the our dog was given a sausage! The owner was excellent company and so eay to chat to. All in all a superb place.

Charming B&B

This charming Welsh cottages is outside the seaside town of Aberystwyth. Quiet,comfortable and pleasant. Best night of sleep on my tour of Wales. Delicious full breakfast with great tea. Definitely a place to return to.

Quiet and pleasant

Myself, my husband, our 5 month old baby and my mum all stayed at Penybont for the weekend.. we had a wonderful stay. John is a great host and cooks you a fabulous breakfast in the morning. The rooms are cosy, clean and have what you need. It was a little tight for space in our room as we had a travel cot and I need to learn to pack a little lighter!! Overall it’s a great place to stay. It’s my mums 3rd stay so must be good eh!
