Wonderful stay, we felt welcome as soon as we arrived - great hosts! Very dog friendly! Room was spacious and comfortable, so lovely to have a bath after a long day. Breakfast as excellent, our daughter loved picking what she wanted and said it was her favourite place we stayed all holiday!

Wonderful stay with fabulous hosts! We don't normally stay and B&Bs but after this visit we will do so more in the future. GREAT room with king bed, huge bathroom with tons of natural light, all very clean. Breakfast defies words - so yummy. Best of all - two black labs!!

Richard and Jane are very special people who go way beyond the normal service provided by a B&B. It was sad having to leave because we have so much in common.

Everything excellent: welcome, room, breakfast, place. A little gem.  The owners Jean and Richard are amazing people.

What an amazing place to stay. A little outside of Thurso but totally worth booking. The hosts are so welcoming and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. A b & b should have a good bed and a good breakfast, as that's what you're looking for. Aurora excel at both. Such a comfy bed and a great nights sleep and the breakfast is very highly recommended. Try the baked eggs, you won't be disappointed. We're already planning a return visit

Aurora B&B was the nices place ive stayed in years. Jane and Richard are wonderful people! Jane saw how exhausted we were and despite our fairly late arrival went above and beyond in the first 5 minutes to help us find dinner. The property was beautiful, clean, quiet, and safe! The beds were comfortable and breakfast was 5 stars. We are so happy we stayed at Aurora B&B! Will do so again at our next opportunity!

The hosts were very nice and went to the trouble of getting us a reservation at a local hotel restaurant for dinner.  The breakfast in the B&B the next morning was excellent showing the effort that Richard and Jane put into their guest’s experience.

Richard & Jane could not be more welcoming. On our arrival, they both greeted us at the front door and show us around their lovely home. It was cosy, clean and tidy. Our room was equally as good, Very spacious, clean and inviting. The bathroom was especially nice and had an array of bath treats for us to enjoy. Once settled in our room we were made coffee with a side of homemade shortbread & banana and walnut cake. (Which were really tasty).We were provided with a folder covering anything we could possibly need from wifi to local amenities. There was a good selection of breakfast options to choose from including vegetarian. The hosts couldn’t do enough for us throughout the duration of our stay.

Couldn’t fault anything! Jane and Richard let us move a stay a day forward as I got our dates wrongWe stayed in the room named ORKNEY and it was lovely, comfy big bed and en-suite. Everything was spotless Breakfast was perfect and they were super accommodating to everything! Would definitely recommend

Lovely stay

Clean comfortable homely stay for one night. I stay away often and wasn’t expecting great things when I booked this, but I was completely wrong. The venue was clean, tidy, quiet and comfortable. Jane could not have been more accommodating and the breakfast was great as well. Would return in a heartbeat.

One night NC500 stay

We had a great one night stay at the Aurona B&B before our trip to Orkney. Jane & Richard were incredibly welcoming and helpful: Jane even booked as a table at a local restaurant! The room was large with a spacious en-suite bathroom, and the breakfast was substantial and delicious. My youngest particularly enjoyed the two dogs and the demonstration of the small steam engine!We can't recommend this place highly enough.ThanksThe Powell family

Wonderful family B&B

Best B&B we've ever stayed in, hands down. The loveliest and most helpful owners. Wonderfully spacious room and bathroom. Thoughtful touches such as homemade shortbread. Every amenity you could reasonably need. And a super quick drive (6 min) to Thurso for restaurants and shops. Would return in a heartbeat.

Absolutely wonderful B&B

We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful B&B. Jane and Richard are fantastic hosts, and made us feel very much at home. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and they were able to provide a huge breadth of options particularly given that we are vegan and gave little notice of our food preferences. Smoothies, coffee and potato scones were all winners!We're only disappointed that we hadn't booked to stay longerRoom is also spacious, comfortable and had all the necessities

This beautiful B&B is on a hill overlooking the coast. The family room we were in was very spacious, modern, and warm. Breakfast was delicious, but most of all were the amazing hosts. You couldn't find nicer and more generous hosts than Jane and Richard. Not only do I recommend this place, I think you'd be amiss if you stayed anywhere else.

Beautiful place with amazing hosts

Friendly, comfortable and clean! We really enjoyed our brief stay with Jane and Richard. Lovely room big enough for a family of four. Fantastic bathroom, plenty of hot water. Comfy beds with nice quality bed linen, got a great sleep. Delicious breakfasts. Some tips about places to go and some maps thrown in. I would definitely recommend.
