Visited the Willow Bank with friends drinks and food    service was excellent staff friendly and helpful and also had a laugh with Charlie he is a credit to the pub as are all the staff well worth a visit

Making the trip to Hampshire to celebrate a family members birthday we looked around the Romsey area where our relative lives. We discounted the Grand Harbour Hotel (Southampton) where we last stopped due to a very disappointing stop with them last year. As always we hate to stop at low quality establishments - we need not have been worried with Willow Bank House, the accommodation was first class, the setting wonderful with beautiful views of the Hampshire country side, and a very quiet environment which is just what we enjoy. The owners are very nice and very welcoming, and leave you to your own devices once they have settled you in. The standard of this B&B is very high and is like being at home. We mentioned to Jen that it would be a good idea to have 2 signs at the end of the drive to show prospective guests where Willow Bank House actually is, as we missed the drive on first attempt - it was then explained at length that it was the planning authority's beaureacratic intransigence that has stopped them putting the second sign up ......!!!!!!!!!  However now we know where Willow Bank House is it will be our preferred choice of accommodation when in the Hampshire area. Our thanks to Stuart & Jen for making us so welcome in their beautiful home.

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights as a break away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life (me) and a chance to go to the Landrover show at Beaulieu (him).
We did have difficulty finding the place as the sat-nav stopped at the top of a long road. However a quick phone call to the owner soon put us right and we were only 30 seconds away from our destination.
Driving down the farm track (on which the house is situated) the first view of it was breathtaking. It is set in beautiful countryside surrounded by fields and trees.
As we got out of the car the first thing to hit you was the sound of silence...absolute bliss!!!
The house itself is absolutely lovely, modern but at the same time very cosy. We stayed in the "Orchid Room".......a lovely room with plenty of space, a good comfy bed and a great wet room en-suite.
There was tea and coffee making facilities in the room and a small but modern tv.

The breakfast was adequate for me as I only like cereals and did have  pain au chocolat but my husband was upset at having to pay for a cooked breakfast.(not the largest either).
 
The hosts themselves were lovely and friendly and knowledgeable about the best restaurants to eat in. Jennifer's recommendations were spot on and we had some delicious food.
We would happily return to Willow Bank for the peace and quiet and the wonderful views.

If you need to relax before and after a cruise (yes, we know it sounds daft), need a base to see Hampshire, or just need to relax in general, this is the place.
Quietest location we've ever been in. Even when we lived in a cottage in the middle of a field in the middle of nowhere in Angus.
We stayed for B & B and self catering.
B & B excellent. Great choice. Great food. Great service. Lovely room. Great sense of humour. Just generally great.

A very lovely B&B located in a somewhat rural area, yet only a few miles from the market town of Romsey. Needless to say, rooms are very quiet. They are beautifully decorated with plenty of en suite "solar" hot water. Jennifer is a very charming and warm hostess, and her husband provides a very comprehensive continental breakfast, with cooked breakfast availability.
A place worth seeking out.

My husband and I stayed for one night over the bank holiday and had a lovely time. The property is beautiful, very stylishly presented and very clean. The little touches such as a jar of Quality Street in the bedroom was very sweet. Jennifer the owner and her daughter are both very welcoming and attentive without being overbearing. As my first stay in a B&B, and thoroughly enjoyed it and would definitely stay at Willow Bank House again.
