Cross Oaks Farmhouse

We stayed 6 nights at Cross Oaks Farmhouse B & B in late Sept 2014 and it was exactly what we expected and were looking for. Penny gave us precise and detailed instructions on how to find it which we followed without a Sat Nav. Next day Ben gave us clear instructions to the nearest Halfords in Salisbury to have it fixed. Our bed was comfortable, our bathroom spacious with a large bath and separate large walk-in shower and we had 6 peaceful nights' sleep. Ben's cooked breakfasts were delicious and he was friendly and helpful and a pleasure to deal with. He gave us suggestions for dinner - one of which - The Hachett Inn in Sherfield English - only 2-3 miles away - was such good value and had such charm that we ate there 3 nights out of 6. During our stay we visited Salisbury Cathedral and saw Magna Carta, toured quaint named Dorset villages, had a delightful lunch at Bugle Inn in Twyford and enjoyed a pleasant evening at The Concorde Jazz Club situated on outskirts of Southampton. All of the above within easy reach of Cross Oaks Farmhouse which apparently is mentioned in Domesday Book. We would definitely return if Ben is still the host. Pam & Martin, Melbourne, Australia
