The Grosvenor Stockbridge

There are lots of wonderful things about this small hotel. Its very friendly staff, beautifully decorated room (we stayed in a garden room), comfy bed, large modern bathroom with a huge walk in shower, efficient heating, possibility to open a window, comfortable lounge with Sunday papers, small bar and a good restaurant. I also appreciated the free parking at the back of the hotel with easy access to rooms and reception. My only complaint would be that breakfast, especially at weekends ends way too early at 9:45. This is unusual as most hotels have breakfast at weekends at least until 10:30 or 11 allowing a long sleep on Sunday morning.Another small issue was a very bright green emergency exit light in the room which at night time lights half the room. On the whole very relaxing weekend. The hotel also has small shops, cafes and pubs very close .
