My wife and I headed to the Isle of Wight after threatening to do the Walk the Wight ever since some friends moved there 8 years ago. Finally we did it. Needed a place to stay. Found them on Booking.com. Matt & Sophie are awesome hosts very accommodating. Arrived and found a feather duvet (I'm highly allergic) they changed whilst out to dinner without any qualms. Made us a little package for breakfast to take with us as we left the house at 5:20. Very welcoming thoroughly recommend. 

We chose this hotel for it's Newport location, wishing to have  ' a central base '  on the island. We couldn't have chosen anything better. Hotel is in a quiet road, with free private parking at the rear. Close to any amenities you might need. It's a family run hotel, and, it's run brilliantly !  ..  Matt was so friendly, and really helpful with suggestions and information about the island, having been born on it. His wife Sophie was busy in the background, and spent most of her time looking after their little boy ' Morrisey '  ..  as I'm from Manchester, that name appealed to me straightaway, lol !  .. it's a beautiful house, with large, spacious rooms  ..  really comfortable ' four poster ' in our room  ( The Mottistone room  )  ..  all rooms are named after  ' grand houses '  on the island  ..  ours was certainly  'grand'  also !  ..  great full english breakfast was served, with a smile, and, all in all, a perfect place to stay  ...  I would highly recommend this accommodation to anybody who is thinking of touring around the island.

My second visit in the last few months to the Island bought me back to the wonderful Brooklyn House. The welcome from Matthew and Sophie is lovely. Their rooms are very relaxing and a nice place to escape to. I will be back in March and can't wait. 

A stopover in the Isle of Wight. Lovely big Victorian villa of a house, and nice welcome from Matthew. Very comfortable and spacious room (with a four poster) that beats many a hotel. Minor quibble would be the lack of a lampshade on the overhead light, but that really is minor. Great breakfast. Everything that you would want from a B&B and I'd definitely stay again.

I chose to stay at Brooklyn House in late June to be close to my Newport family. I was travelling alone and was made to feel really welcome. I had been away from home for a bit and (although I'm sure it isnt part of the deal) they did a load of washing for me, which was really nice. The room was very pleasant, bed really comfortable and breakfast plentiful. I was was on a modern holiday which means I still had to work a bit and it was great that Wifi was included and largely reliable. Stay again, yes please.
