Amazing pre Christmas week and Christmas week stay.
Nothing is too much for this park!!

The whole of the island had television signal problems over Christmas the site did their best to manage all complaints, thankfully we had data to watch our one program we wanted to see (Gavin and Stacey) otherwise we weren’t bothered by this. The comment I will say is anything reported is always dealt with straight away.

Hot tub is checked daily, site is well maintained 

The lodges are equipped with everything you could possibly need.

Bar area very welcoming and lovely log fire.
Price of drinks very reasonable.

All staff are friendly and want to ensure you have the best holiday as possible.

We had a fantastic time here! From the beautiful cabin to the lovely hot tub, this retreat is everything we needed this year. The cabin was spacious and comfortable with a good powerful shower, and the hot water in the tub was perfect. The kitchen also had everything we needed to cook our meals for a week plus a dishwasher and washing machine. 
TV was good and we bought our Firestick with us to watch our fave programmes. We were in the hot tub every night it was so lush and relaxing. Great for tired muscles! 
We had the pleasure of meeting Shane at the bar, who was a great guy and gave us some valuable advice on the local area. Catherine at reception was also incredibly efficient, quickly changing us to a beautiful lodge when we found the treehouse we were previously in (which was just as nice) a bit too small for us for the week. We were so worried about asking but she was so friendly and helpful made the process a breeze.
The local area is stunning, and we're hoping to come back for New Year's Eve to watch the fireworks over the Solent! We highly recommend Woodside Bay and will definitely be making it a yearly retreat. We had peace, comfort, fun and all in a beautiful location. Can’t wait to return! 5 stars all round 🌟 PS. look out for the friendly resident cat!

Warm comfortable lodge with everything you need, clean and tidy, great views over the Solent whilst sat in the hot tub , pet friendly, staff were friendly and helpful, a good base to explore the Isle of Wight,  always my acid test would I stay again? Absolutely yes 

A very enjoyable break. Staff were extremely  helpful and very attentive and couldn’t do enough to help us. Beautiful views. This lodge was stunning, perfect position, clean, very comfortable and everything there you needed. Highly recommend Woodside coastal retreat. 

Amazing 2 weeks family holiday as always,
We like Lodge 19 as the parking is beside the lodge ideal for our disabled son.
Reception staff always pleasant and welcoming, take over is 4pm so we have our grocery delivery for later that evening most of the supermarkets will deliver on the site which is ideal.
The lodge has three bedrooms one is ensuite. Lovey family bathroom with bath.
Kitchen/ Lounge is open plan and well equipped with everything you could need.
We love just watching the cruise ships sail by.
This is our third holiday this year to this site our 7th week it’s just a home from home.
The beach is perfect and quiet.
If your looking for a holiday with loads to do on site this isn’t for you, this is a retreat, quiet relaxing and perfect for filling your days chilling and recharging.

The site is very well maintained.
There is no reason for anyone to complain about things not working as the service on site is second to none. 
We were missing a mop bucket, we like to mop up after our son gets out the hot tub within minutes one had arrived.

We had a lovely stay at Woodside Costal Retreat this week! The perfect size lodge with 4 beds and 3 bathrooms for two families! Cleaned to a very high standard with luxury furniture and everything you need and can't forget to mention the spectacular view towards the sea! Really nice and quiet for perfect relaxation 😊 Reception staff were very friendly and helpful,not only reception but all the staff we met! We had the opportunity to speak to the General Manager, Ian Hingly, who is very positive and professional person, really helpful and friendly, too!

From the moment you arrive it’s simply perfect, quiet well kept gardens and stunning view a must is to bring your binoculars. Was wonderful watching the boats sailing by.

Lovely woodland walk to either reception and the sister park or the children’s park and beach front, where you can see the red squirrels amazing to watch.

The lodge itself was so bright and airy,  shabby chic I’d call the lounge dinning area but so light and bright.
The kitchen has everything, washing machine/ Dryer, dishwasher everything you could possibly need even a Cafetiere.

Bedrooms we had a three bed, two bathrooms with all bedding, towels and robes .
Comfy beds and so peaceful we all slept great.

Hot tub was brilliant, lights all worked and all the jets, no complaints at all.
Your not over looked at all.

The site is out of the way, you need a car but it’s a real hidden Gem.
We will certainly be back again.

Great receptionists who were really helpful sorting out information for our disabled son so we could make a social story for him, it really made his holiday.
The receptionist were really welcoming to us, giving us the little suitcase with the key.

Wow what an absolutely amazing holiday!

We stayed from 10th-17th June in Lodge 35 a dog friendly Osborne View Premier, which is on the frontline with truly wonderful views of the sea. We couldn't have had a better position - no one in front of us just open views and we loved it!  Literally out of the door, a few steps and we were on the beach. It's not really a sunbathing beach, it's very rustic, but absolutely brilliant for children to explore and dogs to run and have fun! Great to watch the ferries going in and out of Fishbourne too!

It was lovely to sit on our veranda in the glorious morning sunshine thinking about what we might do that day. Such a quiet, peaceful, serene location it really was perfect. And in the evening it was wonderful to sit on the veranda, listen to the sea and watch the Cruise ships go silently by.. 
 
The lodge itself was lovely, it slept 4 so not huge but just right for the two of us and our dog. A very comfy bed meant we slept well too. 
It was beautifully clean and we had everything we needed, but it's the first time I've stayed anywhere for a while that didn't have some sort of welcome pack to greet us so that was a little disappointing. But understand that it probably helps keep the costs down. 
The hot tub was really fab and we enjoyed using it every evening. Great to have the rather substantial bathrobes too! 

The woodland between the two lodge sites is beautiful, unfortunately despite being there for a week we didn't see any red squirrels but not for the want of trying!! There are a few trails through the woods to explore and it gave us some very welcome shade as we had a stunning week of sunsine. 

We walked across to the sister site on a few occasions and met some very friendly staff who couldn't do enough for us, everyone was so lovely. We had pizza from the pizza oven on one night, and a couple of other times popped in for a coffee on the way back to the lodge. 

Woodside lodges are in a really quiet spot and there's not much around which was perfect for us. The road in is interesting,  bumpy and uneven so you have to go slowly along New Road but it's really not a problem. 
We did walk down in to Wootton Bridge one day which isn't too far and had lunch at the Sloop Inn. It's in a beautiful location on the creek and has a very varied menu. 

We loved our stay at Woodside and will definitely return again one day - we had a wonderful week and did not want to leave.. It's very dog friendly, beautifully maintained and views to die for! The sea view from our lodge was just stunning and we really felt as though we could have been abroad.. Thank you for a great holiday!

Had an amazing stay here at the Woodside costal retreat.
Beautiful views from our lodge balcony , 30metres away from the beach front. Clean and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Will definitely be returning next year!

Second time staying at this resort and it certainly didn’t  disappoint. We stayed in the Osbourne Premier View which had stunning views of the Solent. The accommodation was to a high standard and very clean and well presented. The hot tub was great lovely and warm. 
We called Hoseasons  to extend our stay and this was sorted promptly by very friendly and helpful staff.
Will definitely return later this year and highly

We had a lovely stay , lodged were clean but could do with a little up dating ,
There wasn't any store in the main bedroom other than a cupboard no draws or dressing table .
Also a lack  of utensils in kitchen I had to go and buy a large roasting tray as the one in lodge was tiny also no potato masher, corkscrew , and limited cutlery .
The staff are all friendly as helpfully 
It is set in lovely grounds .
We thought that the bar area would have be opened on NYE 
As would have used it how ever we did use it on other occasions during our stay .

Fantastic Christmas at Woodside 5 stars

Have stayed here many times and was pleasantly surprised as normally the cleanliness is very poor but this time on the whole pretty good. 
Only 3 cushions for outside chairs, seal broken on oven, furniture very shabby 
Shower head in second bathroom needs mending. We will stay again as we are well aware of the little niggles.

Fantastic holiday, on a first class site

Woodside Coastal Retreat is ideally located for exploring the island. We decided to visit on a weekend away for my wife's birthday.

The lodge was clean and had all the required amenities. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of room for us all. The hot tub was amazing and private. We found the park to be quiet. Staff were friendly and accommodating. It was lovely to wake up to the view across the solent each morning.

It's only lost 1 star because the lodge we had was looking a little dated and could do with some TLC. Kitchen cupboards were peeling and the shower controls not functioning well.

Other than that, we'd stay here again.

Family Holiday

I booked this as a family break with our dog. Its a very good location, with lots of great places to visit close by.

The site is accessed through a security gate, which opens upon approach. Lovely quiet site with access to the seafront. We stayed in an Osborne Premier Lodge that included a hot tub. Although dog friendly it was very clean. 

All the staff we encountered were very professional and friendly, we had an issue with the toilet seat in the ensuite, it was replaced the next day which is fantastic and very efficient. 

The hot tub is also maintained throughout your stay and chemicals are topped up so its safe. The lodge was well equipped with everything you needed,  even an iron and ironing board were available, also a hairdryer. 

Wifi was hit and miss and network reception wasn't always great due to it being a bit remote.

There is no shop onsite but Tesco express few minutes away, and there's a good choice of take
aways and restaurants near by. There is also an eatery on the sister site.      

We had  a nice view of the sea and across to Portsmouth from the decking and it was nice to
 have a walk along the pebble beach with the dog.

It's not cheap, but I still feel it offers value for money, it was so peaceful and had a feel of exclusivity.  If you have small children it may not appeal as there's no play area but its not trying to be a Haven or similar. I would certainly recommend and would return.

Fantastic Stay in a wonderful lodge

WOW, hidden gem in peaceful stunning surroundings

The lodge was lovely. But the balcony, no sun on it other than down the side by the steps up to it.  The trees need a good prune. Every day there were bits of tree all over the table.  Saw a maintenance guy trimming a hedge that really wasn’t bothering anybody!  We were in the same lodge in 2019, trees weren’t so bad then, although no sun we did get a view of the sea, not this year!
