st Georges Guest House

Traveled to Sunderland for a course for work. Loved the room, stayed on the top floor and the view was lovely, had a chair by the window so you could sit and watch the boats go by on the sea. Had an en suite bathroom with shower. Mini fridge and microwave which is nice to save some money on eating out, you can get a few ready meals in. Owners leave tea/coffee supplies by the kettle too which is nice, they change the bin daily and leave fresh towels. Free wi-fi which was great for me as needed internet for work. Amazing location, plenty of roadside parking and right next to the beach. Nice walk over to the lighthouse, lots of lovely places to get fish and chips by the beach. Shops nearby. Bed was really comfortable, usually when I stay in a hotel I really struggle to get a good nights sleep as I miss my own bed, but I slept really well in this bed which was fantastic when I was on a busy work trip. Stayed for 4 nights. Will definitely stay here again if I ever end up in Sunderland again.
