Glenotter Bed and Breakfast

We stayed at Glenotter before our sailing to Belfast from Cairnryan. Absolutely perfect for this as the port is only 13 mins away! Lovely clean guesthouse, comfy bed, excellent breakfast and good value for £65. We went to the Custom House in Stranraer for an enjoyable meal last night. All in all a very pleasant experience. 

I have to say the best bnb ive stayed in and i stay in several up and down the country,the bathroom is huge n the bath will fit two in i always miss my bath when on the road also a good choice ov toiletries.a nice comfy bed wiv bottled water,chocolates and wide choice ov drinks.like all the other reviews the owners sylvia an graham such a lovely couple and nothing seems to much,pity i cant give more than five stars cos thr place certainly deserves more

stayed for one night having arrived on the car ferry (only 15 minutes away) from Belfast on our way home. Graham and Sylvia are excellent hosts, very welcoming - even after 10.00 pm. the room is clean, comfortable and has all you need, and more! Breakfast is excellent, the choice wide-ranging, and it really sets you up for the day. this was our third time at Glenotter and it is our top choice to stay following an evening ferry crossing to, or before an early ferry departure from Cairnryan. thank you Graham and Sylvia for looking after us so well.

Our room was warm and comfortable. The bed was one of the kindest that we have slept in, dare we say it almost on par as the Premier Inn. The ensuite shower was a blessing, with many settings to ease aching muscles from a long journey.
We have reviewed the Glenotter many times before, but this in addition to the delicious breakfast that Graham conjures up I would like to talk about the peaceful surroundings.   
The is a very select property, not too far the town centre but far enough from the rumble and noise of the ferry traffic, which is a big plus in enabling a good sleep, the sort of place that travellers who lodge In B&B's along the ferry route can only dream over. With off road parking there is little more that a traveller could wish for Or is there?
Well, we have had a hard time of late, and the serenity of the beautiful garden  was just what the doctor ordered, For the avid gardener there is plenty to see in the well kept gardens. I have uploaded some of the photos.

Tips for travellers, remember to bring cash to pay for your lodging, the proprietors have good reason to accept digital cards, ATM's can be found in the town centre.

Belfast is just a short ferry trip away from Cairnryan and hosts some tremendous sights.

Be sure to obey the speed limits, there is ample warning and if you travel more than 30mph  through Springholm you will be stopped and your photo automatically taken.

We booked through Booking.com and paid on departure (cash only). There was a car park at the rear of the property. Seen Sylvia only briefly to say hello but Graham was very friendly and helpful. His hosting skills are faultless. Our room was a good size and the bed was large and comfortable. It was equipped with everything you could need. There was a HUGE selection on teas on the welcome tray, fresh milk in a flask, chocolates, biscuits, coffee... Very impressive. 
The bathroom had a very powerful shower and there was plenty of toiletries provided. 
We pre-ordered breakfast the night before. There was plenty of choice and you really could choose what you wanted from it. The fresh soft fruit on our table was a nice touch. Very enjoyable breakfast. 
The B&B itself is in a quiet location about a 15 minute walk from town which was ideal for us. 
We had a wonderful stay and would definitely come back if in the area again.

Spotless house and room. Friendly owners. Superb breakfast with a selection of diced fresh fruit that some top price hotels would die for. Bathroom products a plenty and complimentary tray in the bedroom overflowing with choice.
