If you are looking to stay in the Kingsbridge area - look no further!  You will find the hosts friendly, helpful and professional, rooms spotlessly clean and very well decorated and a wonderful breakfast - everything you could have wished for was there, all locally sourced & excellently cooked as well as a selection of home made jams and preserves! An absolute pleasure to have stayed there!

If I ran a B&B I’d like it to be like this

Lovely accommodation situated just where i needed to be.

This is a great B & B, where we received a warm welcome and enjoyed the most fantastic breakfasts. Plenty of on site parking, large clean rooms/ bathrooms and a perfect location for us. Reasonably priced too. Would definitely recommend and return.

I can’t fault Chillington House at all. Jeanie and Adam make you feel welcome but are not in your face. Locally sourced breakfasts are some of the best I’ve ever had. Rooms are clean and modern but not too fussy, and the whole place is very relaxing. I usually steer clear of B&Bs but this one is top drawer.

This was an excellent place to stay, and the best of a three-centre holiday in Cornwall and Devon. In some respects it exceeded our previous location which was a 4 star hotel near Falmouth 

Room and bed were clean, large and comfortable. One of the owners was a chef and we had the best breakfasts of our holiday here. Service is friendly and prompt. Breakfast is taken either in a rear room, which doubles as a lounge or in a glazed area on the back of the property. There is even a piano in the former which is playable by request and a fridge which was useful for my diabetic stuff. There is a car park at the side of the property, though only one car space per room letting. Chillington is convenient for many places around, including Kingsbridge itself, Salcombe, Dartmouth.  Via ferry you can get to the National Trusts Coleton Fishacre and Greenway, both very interesting.

We had restful sleeps each night. Fresh milk is delivered in small flasks to your room each day, and my wife's request for a non dairy milk was no oroblem. The family who run this place take pride in their work and it shows.

It's immaculately clean: pristine bed linen (I am fussy about this). The bathroom was sparkling, and the room, cupboards, etc, totally clean. The beds were very comfortable - we were in a twin room, and there were proper blackout blinds. It's well decorated, and service was pleasant and efficient. It was very quiet, even in the Easter holidays with a fair few people staying there.  Breakfast: we don't tend to eat big breakfasts, but they did look (and smell) good. I think the rates for the room were v. reasonable compared to some other places in the area, and given the quality of the room in all the important respects.

Were do I start, this place is like finding a priceless gem. The hosts were lovely, the location is great with plenty of parking. The room took my breath away, I was not expecting what it was like. Large room, decorated beautifully. A large sofa, dressing table, gorgeous bed with enormous fluffy pillows. I honestly slept so well, the best in ages. I wanted to take the bed home with me.  The location is very quiet and peaceful. The bathroom was gorgeous, walk in shower, toiletries, and everything was sparkling and spotless. The breakfast choice was great you can order hot food which is made fresh or if you prefer there is a lovely selection of cereals, fruits, toasts and a gorgeous selection of homemade jams. My colleague and I had a lovely stay, she had an equally lovely room. We both said we will be back if work sends us back into the area.

A great place to stay

Excellent hotel and value for money

Amazing, you will not be disappointed.

Can’t review area around property as I arrived as it was getting dark, but I’m sure it’s as immaculate as the house is. The breakfast choice was enormous I wished I could have eaten more. The bed and bedding was first class and a wonderful shower. I only had one night as my stay was work related, but have booked to stay on my next trip down in a few weeks.

Great location for the South Hams and surrounding areas. Very welcoming, comfortable, large rooms and free parking. Not much in the immediate locality but a couple of pubs within walking distance and it's just next to the bus stop - nice 40 minute ride to Dartmouth or Modbury. Excellent breakfast and our room was very quiet. Would definitely stay again.

Excellent!

We spent 5 nights at Chillington House in a large, extremely comfortable, spotlessly clean room overlooking the garden. Breakfast was such a treat! An amazing spread of delicious fruits, yoghurt, nuts homemade compote, jams and beautifully cooked dishes  was available each morning.  Jeanne and Adam are delightful hosts and made us feel very welcome in their lovely home. Interesting coastal areas to explore and National Trust homes and gardens to visit provide plenty of activity regardless of the weather. An abundance of wild flowers spilling down banks and meadows and stunning views was just perfect. 


A  Springtime Retreat 

Just returned from a 3 night stay at this amazing B&B.  Such a lovely place, clean, modern with two fantastic hosts, Adam & Jeannie, who made us feel very welcome in their beautiful home.  The B&B is set in a small village surrounded by beautiful countryside,  and easy access to quite a few lovely sandy beaches.  We had a lovely 3 night break here and would definitely recommend it, especially Adam’s fantastic breakfasts which are most definitely  5 star ⭐️

Excellent  hoists  bed was fantastic  very comfortable  bed room was very clean very friendly   we stay one night as we had to tend a family  grievance   location  fantastic  breakfast  was  fantastic   we will all be back as the was three of us my and sisters   my sister  and I shade a room  very comfortable   and will recommend  this as number one top of the list we will happily  return  in the near future  the staff  wher friendly  and
