Meadow House Holiday Park

The caravan we stayed in (Whitesands) exceeded our expectations. It was more spacious than we expected, was clean, and had plenty of storage. The main bedroom had a large wardrobe (no hangers though), lots of cupboard space, a small dressing table with a wall mirror & had an en-suite which we didn’t know we were getting! The kitchen was well laid out, had a small dishwasher & we were given a welcome pack, which was a nice touch (couple of dishwasher tablets, sponge, blue cloth, couple of bin bags). Unfortunately, on our visit there were no scissors or frying pan. There were enough saucepans, dishes, & cooking utensils & also a microwave, kettle & toaster. There were plenty of plug sockets around the caravan, however none near the sofa, so an extension lead could be handy if you want power there. There was an iron & ironing board in the caravan if needed, & a launderette on site, only a 30 second walk from our caravan. It was about £8 (in coins) to wash & dry our clothes. We couldn’t get Wifi in the caravan, however we weren’t expecting to, so downloaded films on our devices before we came. There was also a DVD player in the living area, so you could bring your own DVD’s to watch. We also enjoyed the 2 seater bar area in between the open plan kitchen & living room! The hot tub on the decking was amazing, felt quite private, & was maintained every day. We were told the restaurant was open Friday – Sunday. We went once for a meal & enjoyed our food (large portions). The swimming pool was in this building (which we didn’t use on this occasion), & the laundrette was just next door to this. Everything was in such a convenient place for us. There was also a playground facing our caravan, which would be handy if you had children. There was no shop on site, however there is a big co-op close by (a 7 minute drive) & it had everything you needed. Or a gift shop (Osborne Shop) which had essentials, that was a 3 minute drive or you could walk to it down the coastal path from the caravan park. The beach there was lovely. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our week in Meadow House Holiday Park & can’t wait to come back next year. The caravan park in March was very quiet & relaxing – Just what we needed!
