The rooms were pleasant, great features having a bathroom in a former bank vault, however the mattress was poor as you could hear and feel the springs when you moved, and the bathroom extractor fan dropped dust. The breakfast in the bistro was fabulous and service was great.It was excellent value all in all.

Seafront location on busy road, so some people will prefer rear rooms. Bright and spacious room (4) with decent shower etc and a table and chairs. Parking is a challenge, but ok durng check-in period. Ideal for our short break.

Perfect for a 3 day stay, breakfast excellent, would come again

Perfect for us, right on the water. A bit hot/stuffy (due to surrounding rooms radiators) but easily fixed by opening windows to get fresh sea breeze. Def would stay again, lady down stairs was helpful & their breakfast menu is amazing!!

Room was spotlessly clean and had a fabulous ocean view. There is traffic in front of the hotel so beware when booking if you are a light sleeper. There are rooms that do not face the street. Hotel does provide ear plugs and we slept just fine. Restaurant on site served great breakfast. Only suggestion I would make in the room we had (room 4) would be to see about switching the tv and stand with the dresser and mirror as when you lie in bed the tv was on the left as opposed to straight ahead which made it difficult to view. Also the mirrors in the room need to be raised so that everyone can use them. If you hung the mirror over the dresser longways then it would solve the problem. Just some thoughts. Thanks

We had an excellent stay at the Bank Hotel, our room was spotless with a fantastic sea view. The bed was huge and we had a great nights sleep, despite being on the main road there was no noise. The location of the hotel was also perfect, a few minutes walk downhill from the station and close to some great bars and restaurants. The staff were also very friendly and accommodating, I'll definitely be staying again.

The room was huge and clean. The arrival was welcoming and lovely. I was highly reccomend this property to anyone. Huuge bed. Huuge room. Seperate table and chairs. Ensuit. Beautiful room.

This is a quaint old building that had all the amenities and a very accommodating staff, and it sits right across from the beach. The room was delightfully furnished with interesting decor - I would definitely come back here!

Our stay at the Bank and Bistro was  good,  quick and easy check in and lovely staff, Room was clean and had everything we needed.We found the mattress was slightly uncomfortable but I would definitely stay there again.

Very good located and very warm welcome from the host.Definitely recommended!;)

For the price we paid we didn't expect much to be honest. And at around £77 per night for a room with sea views we got an ok shower (warm water, poor water pressure) a large bed (mattress has seen a few years) and sparse furniture which suited us fine. It was very windy which meant we had quite the draft from the single pane windows however there wasn't a lot of traffic coming through. Service was ok, not friendly, not unfriendly. Breakfast simple, coffee overpriced.

An excellent night's stay

Staff were lovely. Breakfast was delicious. This hotel has no parking & if you’re driving this is a serious issue. Everywhere around only has 2 hour parking. There is a paid parking lot on a side street at the back, but it’s only for 4 hours. After 6pm you can park until 8 AM, but then you have to move the car every 2 hours.We stayed in room 11 which had a SeaviewIt was very large and a huge comfortable king bed, with lovely bedding and a beautiful bathroomIt’s a bit noisy because it’s on the front, but they provide earplugs which is fab. Honestly, the sea view with the weather in England, isn’t anything special. It rained the whole visit whilst we were in Hastings, I’m sure if the sun was out it would be a whole different experience.Overall, we had a nice visit at this hotel

The breakfast offers were quite limited, and when I asked to swap one of the items on a already small breakfast, this was not possible, so I could not swap mushrooms for another hash brown or something like that which I thought was quite liberating as satisfaction in a rundown area is probably going to be there Best asset however something quite small like swapping an item seem to be quite a problem. Other than that the property was generally good, but I did find the rooms especially the bathroom a little bit dirty, not as clean as I would expect but the bedroom itself was good.

Very helpful & friendly staff. Good full English breakfast. Warm room (use of a fan if required) with all tea & coffee making facilities, working TV, comfortable bed & clean linen. Had a single room with no en-suite facility, however, had use of bathroom, only a few seconds walk from room which was not available to any other guests & was given my own key, bathrobe provided, good pressure, hot shower. Also a lovely sea view.

Very nice room with beautiful sea view just lacked storage as no wardrobe or cupboard, very bright in the morning but luckily we took eye masks, they provide ear plugs as a little noisy, Could do with being a little cleaner and looks a little tired as does the area, lots of closed down places. We stayed during may half term but was surprised how quiet everything was after 5.30pm. Parking was only an issue once but managed mostly to park in warrior square in a free space.

Lovely decorated rooms. Very noisy with traffic but ear plugs were provided complementry. Nice to walk in to 2 complimentary local ciders from Guestling.

Lovely and affordable stay

Lovely room, boutique feel. Bed was huge and some great original features of the room retained and good location. Warm welcome on arrival. The downside was after booking i found that we had to check in by 530pm and there was no one on site after this time. Wouldn't put me off booking again though
