Madeira In Fife

Such a lovely place to get away from it all. Our dogs absolutely loved it - so easy to quickly get them safely off lead for a romp near to the grounds. And for longer walks - a very scenic ramble into Anstruther along the coastal path. I used the hot tub. It does take a while to heat up but to be out there surrounded by nature with the smell of wood smoke makes it totally worthwhile. There were only 2 of us but the idea of booking for more and using the Bothy for a larger group is definitely a thought. We were in the cottages. They are small but are very comfortable for 2 with great towels and linens. (not so sure about 4 adults but perfectly adequate for a couple and 1/2 children - especially as you have access to the Bothy and separate laundry facilities with the possibility of storing large items such as golf clubs) All staff members were very helpful - allowing us an early check-in if we needed it and helping with setting up the hot tub. We came back very relaxed which is what this sort of weekend is all about.
