Wanting to try Scarborough's North Bay after usually staying in the South, I chose Hotel Ellenby, mainly because of it's location but of course, the excellent Tripadvisor reviews helped also. Tony and Paula were the perfect hosts in every way and I found the hotel to be full of character and quirkiness. Everywhere was spotlessly clean, breakfast was really yummy as was the gift of Paula's shortbread in the bedroom and to fall asleep with the sound of the sea just yards away - heaven. The views from the hotel are spectacular and enhanced by the binoculars in all rooms. So all in all, a lovely holiday, and from now on it's the North Bay and Hotel Ellenby for me - A.S.A.P. ! Sue M.
