Debbie was a fantastic host and couldn't do enough for us to make our stay perfect and the breakfasts were fabulous, very comfy rooms with a lovely hot shower and great value for money would highly recommend the dovedale

Had a fantastic stay at the Dovedale, Deb and Malvin are lovely, very friendly and accommodating, nothing seems to be too much trouble for them. It really is a case of anything you need just ask. The rooms are very comfy and clean. We enjoyed our breakfast every morning. The location is great as it's very close to the town and beach.  We would certainly recommend The Dovedale if your going to Skegness. Ian & Jo

I found the guest house to be clean and homely. Deb and Melvyn are a great couple that offer such a warm and friendly place to stay. I highly recommend this guest house. I will certainly go back to them. Brilliant breakfast too 10/10 for everything, my grandchildren loved it and didn't want to leave. My 7 yr old granddaughter actually wrote Deb a letter thanking her, and Deb proudly took it in to her part of the house and kept it.

Lovely bed and breakfast

Found the dove hotel on LateRooms.com.  reserved it on line and paid on arrival .
It's quite close to the coast at top end if Drummond  rd.
Very friendly and accommodating staff.
Breakfast was excellent 
Road a bit busy. 
Room was clean and basic we had a family room but no children to use the bunk beds as this was the only room left we wasn't offered a reduction in price .!!
Even though it was pointed out to us by staff that it was expencive  .!!@
 An ok stay tho. 

Anniversary 

Stayed at the Dovedale Skegness for 7 nights in May 2015 from the 23rd to the 30th.  The family room for 3 was a disgrace. They wanted 5p for extra T-bags/Coffee sachets and the food was terrible. Would never recommend or stay here again.  Booked for myself, my son and grandson and the room only had supplies for 2 people.  I had to buy my own T-bags and coffee as I was not prepared to pay extra for the cheap quality beverages they provided.  I stayed in room No.4, which had  no wardrobe, only a supported bar to hang clothes on.  The towels were like sandpaper and there was a small ledge on the wall to support the kettle and cups etc. Breakfasts were terrible, cheap poor quality bacon sausages and eggs.  There was no linen change during my 7 night stay and the shower was merely ok with dirty grouting.  No handle on the inside of the bathroom door to pull it shut.  The price I thought was a bargain but in reality it was way overpriced for this extremely poor accommodation and hotel.  Skegness itself was excellent as always as I have visited twice a year constantly for well over 12 years, staying in many hotels and caravans but never in such a poor place as the Dovedale......NEVER AGAIN.  Do not be fooled by the bargain price and the photos because whatever you pay, it would not be worth it.
