What a find. Stayed overnight. Cottage rooms were spotless and cosy. The staff friendly and helpful. Landlord was the perfect host. Wish they were all like him, think he should give lessons. The menu is imaginative and varied plus a specials menu. Food was delicious, just loved the pork belly roulade. Good wine list and great selection of spirits/liqueurs behind the bar. Amazing breakfast. Plenty of parking. Lovely outside seating with friendly hens!

Five of us, (family but not close family) spent two nights at this excellent Inn this week … and we loved every minute of it.  The welcome was warm;  the accommodation was spotless, modern and confortable;  the Inn itself, likewise; the food delicious and plentiful (as was the breakfast!);  and the staff - to a person - amazing!   Efficient, friendly, helpful and fun … nothing was too much trouble!  Not an establishment we have visited before, other than for an occasional passing lunch, it is one we will certainly visit again - and we thank them all for making our short stay such a pleasant one!

A gem of a little semi-detached cottage close to the Natterjack Inn which serves exceptional locally sourced food, if you don’t want to sit in the pub you can have your dinner delivered to the cottage, we were spoiled! We also booked breakfast at the Inn and weren’t disappointed, it was a feast.
The cottage was very clean and tastefully renovated, with a large comfortable bed too.  There was also a little garden where we could walk our dog. 
Our host, Adrian made us feel very welcome as did all the staff at the Natterjack; a warm cosy old-world Inn with a lovely atmosphere.

We stayed in Room 8 for four nights and had a wonderful stay. Breakfast was made to order by the chef and was absolutely delicious. The dinners were magnificent – and the Sunday roast was one of the best we've ever had! Everything was made from scratch, with perfectly cooked vegetables and a choice of pork, beef, lamb, or chicken (or even a mix of meats!).Even though it was Mother’s Day and fully booked, the quality and portions were just as high – no drop in standards at all. Highly recommended!

Easy to find and good parking.   Comfy rooms attached to busy pub.   All in all a good find that i would definitely stay at again when travelling in the area.

Was ideal for us it was comfortable . Shower was warm . WiFi was good and the people were great . Breakfast was great . . Stayed at most places in the area and this place is a diamond ! They should charge at least another 15 pounds per night

A pleasant pub with good food. Accommodation is in a small building behind the pub so very quiet.

A quiet, relaxing stay in a gem of a cottage

Fantastic stay

The is a lovely little in, ideal for a short stop-over. The staff in the pub were extremely welcoming, it has a great atmosphere, and the food was outstanding. The only down side is, the room I stayed in is next to a commercial site which has bright spotlights, this means that even with the curtains closed the room wasn't overly dark. Also the bed wasn't that comfortable, so I didn't sleep very well. Overall a pleasant stay, and possibly somewhere I would consider for a future stay.

Room was comfortable and had a walk in shower room with good shower. The staff were very willing to accommodate vegan options on their meal choices and there was one vegan option on the specials board (please not risotto - why is risotto the goto vegan meal for every hotel - why not get some frozen beyond beef burgers and give a vegan burger option for instance)

We stayed at this property as we were visiting shepton mallet prison. Check in was great, staff were wonderful, friendly and very helpful. Room was perfect just what we needed after a ghost hunt. Breakfast was the best we've ever had. Next visit to the prison we will definitely be returning to the natterjack inn

Honestly I have only amazing things to say about the natterjack. Amazing grounds and room, and the food was just amazing. Pub and restaurant, lovely. Besides all that, the staff and owner were just the best people. The owner, Adrian helped us get a ride on more than one occasion and offered us a ride himself lol. We would have been lost without his kindness. 10000/10 stars, highly recommend to a friend. Arrived at hotel on Monday night and it was all locked up. It closes on a Monday night, so there’s no bar or food service.A phone number is on the door though, so I called the owner named Adrian who guided me as to how to get into a room that was reserved for me. He was also kind enough to advise of some nice places to eat nearby.The only room he had available was a twin room with very narrow single beds. If your any taller than say 5ft 11 inches the bed is also quite short and feet are against bottom of bedstead. Not sure what other rooms are like, so cannot say all rooms are like this.Lovely breakfast in the morning freshly cooked and made to feel welcome.Pity restaurant was closed when I arrived. It came highly recommended which is why I booked this hotel. Would I return?? Absolutely. Just not on a Monday night.

Welcoming hotel.

When we first checked in, the standard room was too small, but we were moved to the deluxe room no. 9, which was great. Parking is easy and seconds away from accommodations. We chose Natterjack because recently we had the most amazing Sunday roast there with our son, partner, and dog, Ike. We weren't surprised that the food was amazing. What an amazing kitchen team! A great added touch was a slate plate iced with happy anniversary and two handmade brownies. We will book it again next time we are visiting our son, puppy, and partner in Shepton Mallet for a few days.
