Well where do I start. We loved this place. Good atmosphere. Friendly people and staf. Rachel the lass on the bar was so helpful and went out her way to help us, she deserves a medal for the way she looked after us so I hope her boss and Rachel see this. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely be coming back. Thank you for your hospitality. We stayed in room 7 on 4/11/23 for 1 night

Good, honest, clean pub/inn style accommodation. Clean room and toilet, comfortable bed, discrete decoration, with choice hot drinks and toiletries included. Great food at Lamb and Lion over the road (tasty and generous), or Wild Olive restaurant. I worked nights, place was very quiet and restful. Residents have a separate entrance to pub.

A Dog Friendly Traditional Inn. Communication with the team was excellent and Jamie the receptionist was expecting our arrival. An excellent rate for the room, which was exceedingly cheaper than the hotel across the road.Rooms were cosy but not to small, ensuite with a coffee/tea facilities and spotlessly clean. If your travelling the UK and want a traditional pub/hotel with genuine staff who are working hard to keep the business viable go stay here and you will not be disappointed.Alternatively if you want a brand hotel, with fitness facilities. a hot tube, jacuzzi etc etc and are willing to pay £150 a night rather than the £43 I spent, change your settings to reflect this, sadly though you will miss out on a unique stay in this friendly, hospitable pub/inn

Had a lovely evening and stay at the globe to break up our journey to Wales. Nice friendly manager who chatted to us all evening. Tidy, clean and comfy rooms. We will definitely stay again. Nice village facilities, small bakery and nice village store with fresh breakfast items. Had we realised earlier that it was an option to get a take away from the local italian to eat at the globe, we would have definitely done so, (we arrived late and rushed to find a table somewhere before the end of service).

Easy to find, free parking 200 yards away. The rooms are functional but very clean. During the week (when i stayed) it was very quiet. An excellent shower with plenty of hot water. All round a very good place at a very good price.

Very good hotel and brilliant staff

Worth a stay

Stayed for two nights to climb Scafell. The room was comfortable, a little hot but a fan was provided and the weather was unusually hot at the time. Tea/coffee making facilities, biscuits and water supplied. Shower worked well with shower gel provided and plenty of towels. WiFi worked well. No food available at The Globe but there are a couple of other pubs and a restaurant doing food. Free public car park available 2 minutes walk away. There is no reception, just head to the bar. Check in was quick. Great for a no frills stay.

Scafell walk

Lovely, friendly, local atmosphere

A simple pub with a friendly welcome. A comfortable bed, crisp clean sheets, a good powerful shower and tea/coffee facilities in the room, all the essentials. Great value and perfect for our two night stay to walk up Scafell. Dog friendly. They don't do food but other pubs in easy walking distance do. They are also happy for you to order in a takeaway and will supply the plates etc so you can eat it in the pub. If you want a cheap, dog friendly stay with all the essentials then the Globe does the job just fine.

I liked big shower and friendly staff, I didn't like there was not enough Coffe in the room. For 2 people.Cleaningness would need improvement and room was situated opposite bar, where you can hear drunk people till late hours.Overall was good and can't expect more for this price.
