Only stayed one night but nice room, great beakfast

Satis House is, as the owner puts it, "Quirky - due to age" I have stayed twice - each room is different-  shape , size, decoration etc however this does not mean comfort , cleanliness and experience is lessened in any way. I am determined to experience as many as possible !!  This house has a routine about it and the owners maintain that i.e. you are asked and expected to be on time as  Breakfasts are  cooked to order and are a great start to the day .   Can't wait to try out the Restaurant. am looking forward to the next stay .

The building is old (!), so the rooms are high ceiling and large. The decoration is highly original and eclectic. Our room was ready on time and well appointed and clean and comfortable. We dined in on our first night. The meal wassail good and tasty, although there was a limited menu not he night. Breakfast was good and wholesome with a large choice, pleasantly served in another eclectically decorated room. The entrance to the hotel, off the main road is slightly difficult to see and the signage is not clear. The staff were all very friendly and went out of their way to be of assistance.

Wow what a 5 star experience! The Satis House is a beautiful property. It’s an old English home and when staying there you feel like you’re experiencing the quintessential English manor. The owners are so welcoming and accommodating! Join them in the restaurant and share a glass of wine and you will be regaled with stories of the property. Breakfast was made to order and fabulous! We can’t wait to go back!

Quirky place but we loved it, Sarah was a complete star, doing everything herself

This is an elegant house in quiet surroundings.  Naturally on account of its age it is not for those who prefer off-the-shelf modernism.  The prorietor is very attentive and helpful.  The breakfast was excellent

We loved this quirky, slightly camp,  peaceful place.  Sarah, who was doing everything while we were there (the owners were away) was magnificent and couldn't do enough to make our stay pleasant.

Satis house  - a homely hotel

Satis - factory

Stayed at Satis House Hotel for one night with a Buyagift voucher.  
We arrived and were shown to our room by a very pleasant gentleman, our room was a lovely large room overlooking the front of the hotel which was very clean and comfortable.
We ate in the restaurant that evening and the meal was excellent.  We were served by a lovely lady called Sarah who cooked and served our meal.
Breakfast the following morning was also excellent, again cooked and served by Sarah.
Nothing was too much trouble and we would definitely stay at Satis House again.

Would definitely stay here again

I spent two nights here during early August. Having read the reviews, I knew not to depend on the GPS and to slow down for the turning into the driveway. It is well signposted. 

You see very few staff. My check in was flawless as everything was ready. Getting all your luggage in is a bit of a haul so do let heavier items stay in the car. As I had a convertible, I needed to take everything inside.

Decor is a little chintzy but that’s the style. Rooms are comfortable and excellent space. The bathroom is clean, old fashioned, functional if a little basic. I was attending a wedding at Sibton Park. You need to book your breakfast preferences though.

I had no complaints, it’s a great place for a bit of quiet me time between different events. Hardly any staff but they seem to appear when required, during check in, breakfast and checkout. 
Only moan I had was that the coffee/tea supplies in the room are not topped up daily. 

Very Comfortable and Tranquil

We stayed on a Travelzoo deal, the staff get a 5 star, the breakfast was good but could have been hotter, we spoke to the manager regarding a few things that would improve our garden room, a net across the doors for privacy, without having to pull the blackout curtains, a openable window for fresh air and the bathroom floor needed work, minor things which would have given them a 5 instead of 4 rating, overall very enjoyable stay.

A great place to stay

We enjoyed our stay in the Framingham room and had a lovely evening meal and well looked after by Lisa our waitress. Breakfast was quickly served the following morning and was also enjoyable and we were looked after by Angelino. 
Nice setting. Maybe a little over-priced but for a special occasion as our stay was, we would consider returning in future.

Enjoyable evening meal and overnight stay

We stayed at the hotel as a special treat for valentines.
The hotel was lovely, it was clean and well presented, with lovely decor.
The staff were lovely, friendly, always checking we had what we needed to make sure our stay was a pleasant one.
Our evening meal/breakfast was exceptional.
IF we had to a pick one fault, it would have been the multi tasked chap that checked us in, and served our breakfast, he could have been better presented, but as this is a small establishment, I assume he takes on many roles, but saying that he was a lovely friendly chap.

Leasure

Had such a blast here! Welcomed by the friendly staff and throughout our weekend nothing was too much trouble. We ate in the restaurant and the food was amazing! A usual fussy steak eater this was cooked to perfection! Breakfast was also great not greasy and as much tea as you wanted, perfect! 
Rooms had everything you needed bath towel was massive. Bath was so deep and products provided for your shower/bath. We forgot our toothpaste but the very accommodating owner provided us with some. 
We had a look at the garden rooms which looked lush as well and would be prefect in the summer!
Def coming back here we’ll worth a visit!

Amazing 🤩

We found this hotel on Booking.com as it was the closest place we could find to a friends wedding that we were attending. As soon as we arrived at Satis House we were welcomed with amazing Christmas Decorations and a warm welcome from the staff. It honestly felt like home wich is very rare for us at a hotel. We stayed in the orangery wich was incredible and had dinner and breakfast the next day in the restaurant. The food and service was amazing with nothing being too much to ask for. The orangery was incredibly comfy with a massive bed that we wanted to take home with us and perfect amenities. We will most definitely be coming back to stay for a long weekend in the future.
