I had a lovely stay at the William Cecil for the Burghley Horse Trials in a dog friendly room. The stay was perfect in every way. Upon check in we were shown to our room which was lovely and advised a little hamper of treats had been left in the room for our dog! The staff were so attentive in every way possible. We had a meal booked on the Saturday night at the adjoining restaurant, the staff were exceptionally busy and due to this we had a little mix up with our order but this was promptly fixed by the staff who were nothing but apologetic. The hotel and grounds are gorgeous and it was lovely to be able to sit and relax in the lounge which was completely dog friendly and enjoy some live music which was a fan favourite for our dog. 100% would stay again and would advise anyone to book who asked !
