I was on a trip with work and away for a few days in Bridgend and I booked a room at the Alexandra. It is really close to the train station which was great. Really comfortable, clean room and a lovely hot shower. Felt really cosy in the evening and it was really nice and quiet. 
The price for the room was great and good value. would highly recommend and will be back!!

The room was immaculately clean, good facilities, warm and very comfortable, and as for the breakfast the following morning - simply superb.
Many thanks for helping me make the first visit for my wife and daughter to Wales so enjoyable.

My room was comfortable clean and well furnished, the breakfast was tasty and served with a smile 

Very nice and quiet place. Everything above expectations. We were there with our little daughter, 2y7m, and we were so surprised to find a lot of toys in our double room. Tv, toilet and shower in the room, clean sheets, towels. In the morning we had a full English breakfast included in the price. 
Overall we enjoyed our staying very much. Great service for good price.

Positives- Host was welcoming, breakfast pretty good, price was cheap and room was clean.

Negatives- the bed had a broken support strut, so bed slanted down hill when you laid on it and mattress was past its best. Shared shower room was tiny, you needed to open the shower door before going into the shower 'room', otherwise not enough room to manoeuvre and open cubicle door. Additionally there wasn't a lock on the shower room door (evidence where one used to be, but unfortunately no longer there). 

It was a very cheap budget b&b, so if the bed and shower situation had been better, it would have been a good cheapy option.
