Absolutely hands down the best sunday dinner around. 

I have been here many times and the flavours just keep getting better and so does the food

Always a nice warm welcome from the staff and plenty of drink options

Entertainment, park for the kids with a outside garden next to the canal. Hotel on site etc 👌

5☆ I would definitely recommend having a visit to the Boat Inn. the food is delicious, service with a smile always and the drinks! well there were plenty to choose from. we like Hawkstone lager Yum!..it is our favourite now and not to far to travel. xx

We were family of 9 came on Sunday the 2nd February we had a fabulous Sunday lunch really enjoyed it especially the vegan thought the choices were great and the option she chose was amazing the staff were fantastic and are waitress was very good by checking are orders for food and drinks and checking the table to make sure we had everything

We had our Christmas meal there in December 2024. They catered for 27 and we all were served well and had great meal. The staff were all very attentive and prepared to go the extra mile. I think I can speak for all present in that we all had a good time and would recommend there pub and restaurant

Enjoyed a lovely three course Christmas dinner here with a large group of friends. Not easy to cater for a group of 25 but they managed it wonderfully.  The food was  delicious (loved my pudding) and great service from friendly staff. Particularly enjoyed the mulled wine 😋

Really enjoyed my stay. Rooms are basic but clean and have everything you need. Bed was comfortable and if I was working in the area again I would book to stay here.

Fantastic food, a lovely cosy setting and a marvelous host. Thankyou.   We had visited several times to eat and chose it for our wedding reception. We were not disappointed. They helped us choose menus,  provided a private area with space for first dance and kept our bubbly topped up. 

Went for lunch with family of 5. Owners were friendly, welcoming and attentive without being over bearing from the start. Lovely setting, cosy and warm with the log burner. We had 2 camembert sharing board to start, was lovely, nice touch with pickles, gherkins, olives and sun dried tomato's. Plenty of bread to dunk in. It was a meal in itself. Mains again very good, burgers were tasty, fish and chips great chunky tripple cooked chips, and salmon with variety of veg. All hot, fresh and well presented. Reasonable prices. Would highly recommend food and service. Im surprised it wasnt busier. Will definetly be back. 

Our first visit to the boat for years although we are local.
Great Food, not your normal run of the mill pub food, definitely a cut above. Great service, very comfortable surroundings, log burner going, spotless toilets. 
What more could you want.
If you haven't been under present management we suggest you try it.

We didn't know what to expect. The menu of foods given looked very appetizing.The prices seemed a bit high but my gosh the service was exceptional. The food was brilliant, fresh colourful and delicious. We would definitely recommend the Boat Inn. Looking forward to visiting again.

Fresh cooked food, friendly service

Superb dining venue. A cut above.

Just called in for a drink and took advantage of the fizz Friday offer, which was order a double gin and get a single free with a mixer of your choice, they also do a pie night on Wednesday and steak night on Thursday. Didn't have a meal but ordered some " nibbles" homemade bread with oil and balsamic and some olives which was very tasty. The fire was lit, the welcome friendly and the service good, very nice relaxed surroundings and is of course lovely to sit out in the summer.

Fizz Friday 

Visited tonight with friends. I’ve recently moved to the village and was glad to see the pub reopened and I hope it does well. The stove was on and the pub was warm and welcoming. I had a lovely glass of wine and my friends and I enjoyed our food. Both my friends enjoyed their steaks and my burger was delicious. The hosts were warm and welcoming and the service was great. Really enjoyed our meal tonight. Thank you

Cosy meal

Called in while we were away for the weekend on local caravan site. Recently refurbished and only opened that weekend as lucknwoukd have it. Had Sunday roast beef and chicken dinners. All freshly cooked and well presented. Then puddings, again freshly made that day by the chef. Puddings were exceptional. All in all a friendly quality visit. Hope to be back again.
