Arrived late evening as working locally and Charlotte booked me in. A very pleasant lady who made me feel very welcome after a long drive!  Room clean, warm and comfortable. Had a steak in the Hungry Horse pub attached {as recommended by Charlotte) and it was very nice, hot and tasty. Staff all very warm and friendly. What more do you want? Thanks all, I will be back!

Stayed twice recently as it’s a great location for Blackpool and Preston. On 68 bus route to both. There are roadworks at present but not a problem. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful.
We are in the Hungry horse and the food was really good. The mega plates are really mega. We also, had breakfast which was well cooked and served. The waitress, Ellis ,served us both times and was excellent.
We are back again next week which says it all.

I found the staff excellent and very helpful in the Hungary Horse pub where I had a great meal. Lauren was particularly helpful and very pleasant. I've a coach with me and there is no problem with parking and the lady in the reception is most helpful and accomadating. 

Live locally so visit this place regularly. Staff are great, place is clean and modern decor. Menu OK and has sufffficient selections for most folks. From order to delivery, very swift. Meals are good and substantial.

Great value for money and place is not tacky. Staff do go out their way to help to ensure you enjoy your meal - without being in your face.

Good atmosphere never had a bad thing to say about this pub.  The staff go above and beyond for there customers ! Excellent pub

The food is excellent good service always make you leave with a smile on your face and never make you feel left out they make you part of their family

So this was our 2nd visit and can't wait to return. very comfortable beds lovely and friendly staff I can highly recommend staying here. Priced very good. The pub attached to the hotel was very nice and the food is brilliant too.

Great night at the Friday night quiz. Well organised good fun, especially how you pick a song to be played if you fastest with the answer. All the staff were really friendly and Adam behind the bar was really helpful and efficient. We would definitely go again 👍

Started over Christmas to be nearer family for the big day, staff were amazing helping with what we needed. Good size room with comfy beds very clean. The price for 3 nights over Christmas was amazing value, Was a pleasant stay all around, could be happier with the stay. 

Stayed for one night after a wedding as was closer and decent price. The receptionist is lovely and will do anything to help. 
Our room was decent sized and the bed was very comfy. 

The breakfast the next morning was just what we needed after a few too many!

What a great quite hotel and restaurant on the way to Blackpool not far from Preston docks free parking at hotel park outside for children pub sold great food and drink and good prices well worth a visit hotel is next door friendly reception and staff my room was on ground floor no 15 big large double room with clean comfy bed with fluffy white pillows good lighting desk and chairs extra large tv hairdryer and clothes rail tea coffee facilities bathroom clean and adequate bath with shower and toilet clean white towels and 2 bottles of shower gel
Yes in parts the room needs updating however doesn't stop u having a good stay some noise at evening but not everyone is quiet like me

Clean rooms and nice staff. Food in the adjoining restaurant was good. Rooms could do with a touch up but excellent value for money. Handy location for travelling back and forth to Blackpool. Would return

Week stay

I guess you get what you pay for, it was cheap but you can see why.

There was junk and litter outside my window.

There was very little hot water for the shower.

When I checked in the receptionist told me I had made my mobile phone number up (I think she was trying to be funny).

There was no mobile phone signal unless I walked out into the carpark although that isn't the hotel's fault.



Manage your expectations 

Receptionist very friendly 
.The room we stayed in is very tired and had an overwhelming smell of shake and vac or something of that ilk when we went in. 
Duvet cover had a torn seam
Bath took an hour to run and the shower was not great as a result of the low pressure. Rust orotund plug hole and handles on side of bath. 
Towels were clean and we did get a good nights sleep but it isn’t somewhere we would return to.

Tired

The rooms were like a 2nd rate Premier Inn but the price was lower. 
Everything you needed but unfortunately we were on the ground floor near the staircase and we heard everyone coming in the building and up the stairs. This was room 3. 
If you want a cheap stay with a clean comfortable bed it will suit you well but avoid room 3 if you are a light sleeper.

Cheap to stay, clean but basic

We stayed here overnight on our way back from Cornwall. When we arrived the lady behind the reception was friendly and welcoming. We stayed in a family room, which was clean and tidy, perfect for an overnight stay. Our bed was very comfortable but our 4 year old son's bed was rock hard, which wasn't a huge is because he ended up staying in our bed with us. The only complaint I have was the toilet didn't have a strong flush so took quite a while to clear. We didn't try the shower, so can't comment on that. Overall though for a base for one night and a place to get something to eat, it ticked all the boxes.

Perfect for an overnight stay

Very warm welcome at reception, I booked a twin room as was stopping there with my friend for local tournament we had one double bed one single which wasn’t made up that wasn’t a problem it was done when we went for dinner of which was very nice and well priced.
The room it’s self was in need of updating and carpet cleaning but the worst was the shower it was terrible you couldn’t get right temperature of the taps and you had to cup your hands and collect water to splash yourself. The outside are outside the pub need a good clean but once again the pub staff were very polite
