Absolutely fantastic place to visit. Myself and my partner was acommodated at the last moment for vallentines evening. Tanya personally messaged to offer me a table which was absolutely amazing. Fantastic food and atmosphere 👌 highley recommended. 

Newly moved into area and visited here for several meals.  Always a lovely warm and friendly atmosphere and the food has been exceptional quality.  Well done we will definitely be back again and again.  Toilets accessible on flat ground floor and very clean and well stocked.

We called late afternoon on our way back home from a night in Cardiff. It was very welcoming, the lady behind the bar was lovely. We sat down and ordered, food wasn't long in coming and it was lovely. Couldn't fault it and all the staff were friendly and polite. I'd recommend it and will definitely go back 😀

We had a fantastic night and delicious food and drinks! Tania, the boss was absolutely brilliant! She bought us drinks and we shared some stories and had fun! The staff were helpful, friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Great atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit even just for a drink but food lovely!

Called here for an evening meal in the middle of the week. Booked a table and was served very efficiently by the owner who said she was from Bulgaria.( I had to apologise by asking if she was Polish!) Why do we always think everyone with an accent is Polish.
The meal was very nice and the decor was contemporary and classy. The only downside and this is not the owners fault is some of the other diners were scruffy, jeans and trainers and noisy. I avoid Whetherspoons and Pub grub establishments to get away from these types. The portions aren't big but they are served quickly and piping hot. Wine was expensive but in line with restaurant prices. Would visit again if in the area. 

What a lovely place.  We have called in a couple of times for drinks only but it’s always got a great vibe to it.  Separate area for birthday parties etc which didn’t disturb  anyone else.  Great bar staff. Lovely furnishings. Clean.  Would definitely recommend.  Good selection of draught beers.

Great atmosphere 

3 of us attended as a Birthday treat.  We ordered roast beef.  The meat was extremely tough and even after asking for 2 steak knives even these would not cut the meat. We complained and was told the Chef apologized and we could order 3 free cups of coffee when we were ready, which we did.  The 2 desserts we had were ok but very expensive for the size of them.  The hotel however was clean including the toilets.  Nice surroundings and friendly staff.

Birthday Sunday lunch ruined

I wouldn’t normally bother writing on tripadvisor but with chefs in the family and myself always been in hospitality I feel that this evenings experience was a real let down! We use to visit the horseshoes quite regularly in the past and decided to visit this evening with some friends. We both ordered sharing fish platter which were lovely but when our mains come we were so disappointed I ordered carbonara with (Italian pasta) presuming it would be spaghetti in which it was spiral pasta which is unusual I didn’t change the dish I decided to keep the carbonara as I wanted to eat with everyone else but I can only describe the sauce as packet cheese sauce and pasta that was way over boiled!! My husbands burger was a cheap grizzle steak burger, but thought I will give the puddings a try to make up for the main  in which I was stood at the bar waiting to be served when right in front of me through the hatch was a server texting not taking any notice of me stood at the bar whilst picking her nose and then carried on with her job!! I won’t be returning

The place is nice. Unfortunately my room was on the road side, so some noise heard from cars. The restaurant has an excellent steak. It was quite easy to find some nice quite road on surroundings to run.
